NBA's Shocking Response To No-Calls, Darvin Ham Takes Blame For Tactics

The Lakers lost a double overtime heartbreaker to the Mavs with plenty of controversies, as both LeBron James and Troy Brown Jr appeared to be fouled on potentially game-winning shots only for the whistles to stay silent. The NBA’s response to the incidents is shocking, to say the least, as Trevor Lane explains…

  1. Coach was watching the ball game, instead of coaching the game. There are aspects of the game that players don't control: minutes and pace. Great coaching is protecting their players from themselves. Proper substitutions would have control the pace and what you are to do within the game. Luka had 5 fouls, and Lakers stopped attacking him on offense. This is coaching, not player errors. Ham is asleep with the remote in hand. He was not realizing the volume control was too loud or his neighbors banging and complaining outside his door. Coach Ham was stuck in his own world. This coaching staff is not ready for the playoffs or championship basketball. Ham is cold hand Luke, doesn't get rattled or aware of pending Doom. He drove the car right off the cliff, no braking or swerving. Right off the cliff. You coach against your team's bad tendency & egos; facts over feelings, right?

  2. If Lebron doesn't throw up so many bricks from beyond the arc, the Lakers won't be in close game at the end. But many people only remember the final minute of the play. Almost all Lakes wins came when he shot less than three or four 3's. His missed 3's assist other team's comeback almost always.

  3. This is why practices are important. Game schemes and structure scenarios are vital to players knowing what to do within the game. When you have the lead, you sub for size and energy-efficient players. 38 year old needed rest of less 1:30 or 2 minutes. And coaching up strategies when the key player is resting. There is a lack of this communication and strategy on this team. Hero Ball saves us????🤯🤢🤮

  4. Is Jones on the roster? Are the coaching working him for extra hours to get him ready for games? Sacramento made him playable. Why can't we? Is he hurt, or is he a placeholder? The front office selected him. Why are we not using him? Cole Swider and Max Christie need more minutes and spacing for LBJ and Russ.

  5. I dont know why NBA still no actions to plenty of errors of refs since last last season… All they do is let those refs make errors and control the game..
Soft ass bitches referees…maybe they are also in the payroll..

  6. There are so many people getting their hopes up this season. Hate to break it to ya'll, the Lakers aren't going to do shit this year. Ham needs to be fired. Dude admitted he was too flustered to tell guys to guard Luka? Are you kidding me? I figured out when I was 10 that you should always try to get the ball out of the other teams best player's hands.

  7. The commissioner and NBA is a complete joke..The game has turned into trash because the refs are now in complete control of who wins and it’s complete trash, unwatchable!!

  8. Im had enough with this referees. Their call always all over the place. At times its too tight. Another its like they are blind.

  9. In the immortal words of Curtis Payne, "What the Hell." What the hell is Dennis Schroder and Troy Brown Jr. thinking. You up by 3 with less than 12 seconds left in the game. You know Dallas is looking to shoot a 3 pointer, you guard the 3 point line and run the Mavericks off of the 3 point line. You make your opponent drive to the basket and off the 3 point line. Everybody that watches the game knows that Luka is looking to shoot a 3 pointer and he likes to do a step back to the left and shoot a three. The Lakers could and should have won the game despite their horrendous 3 point shooting. Those two clowns(Schroder and Brown) knew that Dallas needed a 3 pointer to tie the game. Their defense were awful. Patrick Beverley would have not allow Luka to get off a clean uncontested 3 point shot. Plays that Schroder and Brown Jr is the reason why the Lakers are under 500. Common sense would tell you that Dallas needed a 3 pointer to tie the game, so don't give them an opportunity to shoot an uncontested 3 point shot. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE.

  10. *people think it's all about making money but nahhh!! y'all are making great financial mistakes i think growing money should be your 2023 decision this year it has made me who i am through investments.*you

  11. Darvin Hamm not a good coach plus he didn’t do is home work and Luka Lakers lost bc they didn’t executed properly down the stretch

  12. I was at the game and even from pretty far away these looked like fouls. This Doncic fellow is getting what he wants everywhere he goes. It seemed way too easy for the Mavs to get the most ridiculous switch in the nba: Dennis Schroder guarding Luka 1 on 1

  13. I'm starting to get tired of hearing Ham take responsibility for poor coaching at the end of games. Maybe these moments are too big for him. As an assistant coach he doesn't have to make the decisions. Some people's brain don't work fast enough….

  14. I think the foul on LeBron was even worse. They raked across his arm no wonder the ball didn't even get up to the rim. So frustrating.

  15. Plenty of time to foul once ball was in bounded Ham has chose not to foul when up 3 at end of game multiple times this season. Makes absolutely no sense. Maybe he can’t do the math ?

  16. The worst was wen LeBron stole the ball from Woods, refs reviewed and called a foul on Bryant, Lakers wen challenge but don't get the ball, refs are only allowed to review the incident that's challenge, not give a foul to make up der fuq up, and Stan Van Gundy agreeing with the league is a disgrace to the word analyst

  17. And they call crazy touch fouls against the lakers all game. And this is a home game?? The league wants to prop up luka and jokic. It’s obvious

  18. The league is trying to stop Lebron from winning more championships than Kobe or MJ that’s probably what it is tbh

  19. You can tell Lebron was just tired. He started jacking up 3s in OTs when he did not make a single 3 all game. Shooters need to keep shooting despite bad shooting nights sure, but Lebron is not a shooter, so he should’ve went for higher percentage shots

  20. Hoping that AD comes back is laughable. I bet he won’t play 10 straight games. And I bet he won’t play 15 without getting injured again.

  21. The Troy Brown no call was egregious. He was clearly hit on the forearm and had body contact. Then he would have 3 chances to make one. OTOH-Luka Doncic is incredible. To make 2 3 pointers when only a 3 pointer would extend the game, after playing some 50 minutes is superhuman. He's putting up numbers MJ never did. No I'm not saying he is better by any means, but like LBJ he is clearly a better passer, rebounder and 3 point threat.

  22. Who cares?! The Lakers would still be in 13th in the Western conference if MY BELOVED Lakers won or lost against the MAVS.

Hard reset in 2023. Trade Lebron & Co. Our beloved Lakers need to embrace the rebuild in earnest and look at the end of the decade for that 18th Championship banner.

The Lakers organization is a winning insitution that can weather a full rebuild.

    ** Free PAT BEVERLY **

  23. I've said this all LeBron career and definitely as a Lakers. The refs don't like him for some reason. And he doesn't get most calls and it also carries over to rest of team. It's definitely intentional and these losers need to be suspended without pay

  24. The NBA towards the Lakers right now reminds me of a Muhummad Ali quote "100% of the time people are here to see me, But 99% are here to see me get beat." The NBA knows that the Lakers are their cash cow, But don't want them to win.

  25. I'm kinda getting tired of Ham always saying it's on me on every bad loss/play. Should've learned the last disappointing loss. Why not foul Luka and earn it at the line AND why not sub players in double OT?

  26. “Let them hoop, refs are too soft” but also, “these refs are letting too many calls go” 🤦‍♂️ lol whichever way the wind blows I guess

  27. It’s sickening in these comments. No wonder why I stopped watching this channel lol crybaby central here

  28. Luka made a couple of clutch shots but I wish Schoder would have defended Luka on the 3 point line and not fall for the stepback.

  29. They should have fouled Dinwiddie as soon as he caught the ball, his back was to the basket and it was obvious he was giving it right back to Luka.
