My hope is he doesn’t go to free agency and just signs an extension
Team comes to the jazz says they are interested in JC. We say we really don’t want to trade him, it would have to be a really good offer. Team comes back with better offers

It’ll be tough to trade anyone who’s eligible to sign an extension, because no one will commit to an extension with the team they’re traded to. With the NBA tv deal upcoming, salaries are going to explode (again)

Would be a mistake to not trade him to a desperate playoff team. Still would be one of my favorite players ever and I’d be devastated
