Portland Trail Blazers bounce back with two blowout wins over the Dallas Mavericks

The Portland Trail Blazers swept the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend, blowing out the shorthanded Mavs in back to back home victories. Damian Lillard has scored 30 in five straight games and the offense is starting to find its groove behind their star point guard.

Gary Payton looked solid over the weekend, Nassir Little returned to the lineup after missing six weeks, and suddenly the Blazers have competent bench competitors. It’s amazing what a team with seven NBA players can accomplish.

So now at 21-22 the Blazers are imperfect but still easily within striking distance of fifth place in the West and avoiding the play-in round. It’s weird to type this, but they’re in a good spot. Seriously.

  1. Saturdays game was good tonight's game was not a good performance, it took blazers 43 mins to finally take control, and sealed it. Take away all stats and just watch. This game should have been done @ 9 mins in the 4th. Ur home back to back no Luka, Starters should not have gone over 30 mins each i.m.o , but what do I know just a fan.

  2. I feel that this season is going to be full of peaks and valleys for Portland. Hopefully they will be riding a peak going into the postseason.
I'm also not sure there's a trade that can change that, and I think holding pat at the deadline will be the right move. The overhaul should take place in the offseason.

  3. I recently heard that nas talked about how earlier in the year when he was struggling he was still dealing with his abdomen injury if this is true I wonder if its why gp2 waited longer to play seeing how it infected nas
