What’s everyone’s thoughts on him in this draft? Projected to go between picks 8 – 12.
He’s a 6,8 PF with a 7,2 wingspan. Supposed to be best defender in the class. Shoots 40 from 3 and showed ball handling and playmaking ability in high school. I feel like he would pair well with Chet, fit our identity on offence and defence and could help with the bigger bodied Centers. If you like someone better tell me who and why?

1. Dude is just huge. Thick as hell and may be short for the 4 makes up for it in strength, bulk and wingspan.

5. Didn’t see really any defensive highlights here but he’s got the bulk and frame to be excellent
Ultimately Sam wants guys who can pass dribble shoot and he seems the type. Idk anything about his advanced stats like % in the paint but based off a quick vid I really like him. Seems like a great get knowing we’re not getting the gems of the draft and just looking for guys to fit in to roles.
I can see him playing 4 next to Chet offering a more physical defensive matchup and spacing.
Ill be keeping my eyes on him for sure.
The way we’re going it could take a trade up to get him but I’m all in on hours fit with us. In a way he reminds me of Chet in college, not in play style but in the way both guys were able to fit into a high level college team as freshman being incredible role players.
Much like Chet I don’t believe Jarace is being used to his fullest and think he’s capable of much more on-ball as well as in the short roll as a passer and decision maker. I actually like his shooting potential as he’s always been a good ft shooter and has nice touch on his mid-range and floater. His passing and handle can be a little bit unpolished at times but he makes all the reads and gets to where he wants on the floor, just needs better execution at times.
Defensively he’s just a menace and will most likely have massive steal and block numbers without having to go chasing for them.
The best part about where we sit at the moment is outside the top 2 we probably have the assets to trade for anyone we want in this draft and there’s so many good fits. Brandon Miller would fit great and has been really showing out lately and would be worth a trade up imo. Keyonte George looks like a really high level off-ball guard that can really pass, defend and shoot off movement.
Amen Thompson is as talented and gifted as you can get while also being a really hard worker, for me he is the 3rd best prospect in this draft and could potentially be untradeable as a pick. Not the cleanest fit with the other guys we already have but Giddey’s shooting improvements give me confidence taking someone like Amen.
Maybe my favourite guy in this draft is Maxwell Lewis who gives me a lot of Devin Vassell vibes in the way he gets his shots and body type. Maybe not the highest upside but I would love if we made another “Dieng” type trade to bring in Lewis alongside another draftee.
