Moving Davis’ contract would be nice for Dallas. I like Rozier on the Mavs. Oubre would be fine for the bench but I don’t expect much from him. I’m still hesitant to send a 1st for bench upgrades though.

I love this trade except for Rozier’s contract. He’s a good player but that was a bad contract the moment it was signed. Not like our contracts we’d be giving away are good either, but we’d get slightly younger, get good scorers and a ball handler in there, and Oubre in particular would kill it with Luka, and he’s only on a one year deal. Jalen McDaniels offensively is better than a lot of guys on this roster as it is.
Rozier if he could get back to how he’s shot the past 3 years would make this a win. Too many expect home run trades with our scrubs and 2nd round picks. It isn’t going to happen. Something like this is more realistic for the team to start digging out of the hole it’s in to be a more competitive roster.

Rozier, despite being overpaid, would be great in Dallas. He’s not a bad defender at the guard spot, and can create his own shot.
Oubre can get really really hot.
All you’re giving up is a frp that may not even convey, or if it conveys it certainly won’t be high unless Luka is gone, and THJ. Easily outweighed by what we’re beinging in.
