Kyrie is so good. I thought the stretch from end of first quarter through halftime was the best we have looked all season on both ends of the floor. Tough loss

I’m not saying this as a reaction to tonight, I think we really, really need to make more than a couple moves at the deadline. Clarkson’s value has never been higher.. Conley is aging very quickly, the Collins deal sounds so good on paper and Rudy gay flat out needs to be elsewhere.

Lauri, Kessler, Ochai and Sexton are the current “core” imo, you can move anything outside of them pretty reasonably especially if it’s for more picks

The JC iso late was frustrating, but credit to the Nets defense for that. Not saying that JC iso was the only option (he was definitely getting tunnel vision there), but the Nets were hard set on denying the pass to Lauri all game and our offense really stalled out as a result. That + Kyrie going supernova really decided the game. Jazz are probably gonna see that ball denial more and more now that the secret on Lauri is out and *especially* if we make the playoffs, so it’ll be interesting to see how Hardy + co. adjust.

On the flip side, the fact that Lauri still had 22 points on 50% shooting really shows how great of a player he’s become

  4. Remember how there was a stretch of basketball where Lauri and Rudy were on the court at the same time and Rudy took like 4 shots instead of 0?
This is professional basketball. Do they not know how to get the ball to their best player?

Elite game from Kyrie, Claxton and some great touches from Royce. They deserved the win tonight, the Jazz not able to defend Kyries crazy shots and Claxton and Royce was all glued with Lauri the entire game. The Jazz should anticipate this kind of defense on Lauri and do some adjustments.

Im sorry but Jordan clarkson needs to go to a contender. I am not a fan of how the jazz are using him! He does not need to take 22 shots! It is absolutely not necessary considering the shots he’s taking. He turns into a black hole and it stagnates the offense which is what what we saw in the 3rd and fourth quarters. Sexton is more than a capable scorer and much more efficient and by him breaking the paint it would allow Lauri to get easier looks. Lauri is not a shot creator so he can be taken out the game if he’s being defended by a good defender which he was tonight . The ball needs to be in sextons hands more bevause his game opens up the game for everyone else clarksons game opens up the game for HIM. I really hope jazz move him , no hard feelings it’s just time to move on!

I don’t know what to want. Tank for Victor, or the 6th seed

Really think the difference was the physicality and obviously kyrie too.

We’ve been able to negate some of our size issues this year but you could see how much their length affected us.

We also need to get more creative in getting lauri possessions and he needs to be better in coming to get them. Not necessarily isos but advantaged positions.

Just a reminder that this roster has been impressive as mix and matched as it is. These are games that will help the front office make decisions and show current player weakness’s for development.

  9. JC and Beasely completely iced Lauri out tonight. They need to aggressively look for the pass to him when he’s cutting. Instead tonight they kept on doing their own thing. Gay did the same shit.

We really need to make some trades or either just to get some high draft picks. THere still a missing piece on this team, times like this that we cannot compete on the teams like the Nets. KD did not even play. I Feel like we are good enough to make on the playoffs but feels like 1st round exit to 2ndround exit vibes. In Ainge we trust.

We haven’t’ faced too many teams with solid on-ball pressure. Nets hounded us with it tonight, and we didn’t have a good answer.

Was really hoping they will win tonight since the Nets played bad in their last game and they get into back2back game while the Jazz has all the advantages playing after a win, rested and in their home court. Irving was insanely unstoppable and Claxton looks a legit DOPY . It’s a well deserved win for them.

Despite the loss, love what we saw from Sexton tonight. Pure energy that got us back in the game. Hope he stays as part of the young core
