What an annoying and tiring personality.

  2. Big_ming022

I really liked him and was sad he was traded, but recently, I’ve been growing to dislike him more and more.

  3. eageragnostic

“They believed in me more than the organization”? Dejounte what are you smoking? The more he talks, the more I can’t root for him as an ex-Spur.

  4. Amitman0707

I’m guessing he struggled in english class…

  5. Fraidy_K

Now, I just need to get inside his head to understand why in the hell he put in the effort to capitalize all words. Maybe there’s a setting or something of the like that I’m missing, but don’t you have you manually switch back and forth to do this? Dude’s gotta be addicted to social media if this is regular for him. Really thrown by this…

  6. silentorange813

Atrocious grammar and immature tone–this guy needs to either stay off social media or hire a PR agent.

  7. bhammyginji

Anyone Really Hate Capitalizing Every Word In The Sentence? When/Why Did This Ever Become A Thing?

  8. tmorrisgrey

He is not that big of a star to insinuate that there’s more he’s leaving out but won’t tell anyone…he either has nothing to say or it’s not as big of a deal.

  9. yeah_car

Where there’s no smoke there is……. no fire. Stay pressed, DJ.

  10. deneuvig

Yeah the Spurs is the most
rotten organization. Every team should steer away from Spurs personnel and coaches and GMs because of how bad the organization is. That’s why no one really came out of this organization ever

I’m sure no franchise in their right mind would ever hire from the Spurs coaching or GM tree, let alone try and put in place a Spurs culture in their franchise

/s, DJ is full of himself

  11. DunkinEgg

Poor guy. They didn’t give him everything when he was drafted and made him work for it.

  12. ireallydespiseyouall

why does he have such an inferiority complex man?

  13. bxryybxr

Bro Is Drinking Too Much Of His Own Bullshit

  14. ah, those sweet sweet 1st round picks from ATL look better and better each day

  15. Modest_O

I wish he’d just say whatever the fuck he thinks he has on Spurs. Insinuating that the Spurs are a terrible organization because they made you compete with with Derick White after taking starting spot from Tony Parker is such bull shit. He had his opportunity to say whatever he wanted on that podcast but chose to hold back the real bad part of his tenure in SA. That’s not keeping it 100 like he claims to be.

  16. paxusromanus811

God DJ seems like such an exhausting personality. I bet it’s incredibly tiresome having to be in his personal circle. Like He is burner account Kevin Durant levels of all up in his feelings carrying what random fans think. At least KD was literally a top five player in the league. The guy cares so much about what people think yet absolutely cannot get out of his own way with the consistently clumsy narrative he has been constructing for himself the last 12 months. I’m definitely getting tired of reading about the dumb stuff he says

  17. HugoNext

This just in: fans support storied organization more than slightly-better-than-average player.

  18. littlespoon22

I was always a fan of the kid. This is just sad..

Great work on this trade PATFO.

  19. ForneauCosmique

This guy contradicts himself so much

  20. DevilGunManga

I can bet my ass that the trade to the Hawks wasn’t mutual. Dude sounded salty as fck. He probably thought he was untouchable.

Dude, you’re not a max player. There will be teams that will give you that money but the Spurs know better. Get over it.

  21. password_321

Remember when he was crying in RC’s arms like a baby when we extended him? And the org didn’t believe in him? 🤡

  22. Linkdalink

Damn man, sucks to see my once-favorite player be like this.

  23. laidback__luke

I love this character arc. I was downvoted to hell for saying he was clown a few years ago.

  24. YOU ARE MIDDD MID MID MID MID MIDDLE OF THE PACK PLAYER YOU ARE NOT TOP 10 PGS IN THIS DAMN LEAGUE

  25. SpeedStickPapi

He’s right, we don’t have to support him, so it’s not worth trashing him. What concerns me is that the louder voices regarding the Spurs are typically more negative than positive lately, and how that might deter landing/retaining talent. DJ and Stephen Jackson are popular among players, which means players might listen to them, given their platform. These younger players are probably a bit more impressionable too. This rebuild could be a longer process due simply bad press, which bums me out.

  26. chameleonchild8

Honestly I’d rather hear the 95% he didn’t say cause what he said seemed mild…

  27. ShootaIMP

Well at least he said he still loves the fans.

  28. Revolutionary_Copy83

It’s a lot of weirdos in these comments, y’all hate when NBA players speak about their perspective and it isn’t some cookie cutter ass “i love the organization” answer. Jesus Christ

  29. MagicMan_361

All bro had to do is keep his mouth shut & be professional like 95% of all the other players that have put on a silver & black uniform. Instead, that fan base that he ‘loves’ is starting to turn on him because buddy wanna sound like a toxic ex.

Not to mention, after hearing that podcast, it sounded like 90% of all that stuff was all in his head. Talkin about “the Spurs didn’t want me to ruin their reputation cause I’m from the hood & what I come from, so they tried to break me”. Give me a break bro 🙄 DeMar is from the hood & grew up around the street life, & was our franchise player while he was here. Try again. Also, DeMar went on All The Smoke too & I’m sure he coulda said plenty of things to make Spurs fans upset – good thing he’s a professional & a class act.

  30. he’s gonna be bitter AF when we start winning again with promising young talent and Atlanta fades into mediocrity..oh wait they already have

  31. Aggravating_Impact97

Guys Murray did the math and he left out 95% of the stuff the spurs did to him.
Such as taking a chance and drafting him when no one else did.
Developing him instead of cutting him
Paying him instead of moving on from him (after a major injury)
Trying to help grow up as a person and show the right way to do things. There is always another way.
    Making him the guy.

Yup how can you be a fan of the spurs and not of a self proclaimed former gangster (who was a millionaire by the age of 19). I love how the spurs caring so much about murray that they wanted him to grow as a person that he sees that as a vile and unforgivable act.

  32. Supermind64

Oh no they Spurs organization made me work for my spot and paid me millions. The tragedy.

  33. just_argues_with_you

That was tough to read, mostly because it looks like it was written by a fourth grader.

  34. Zeee-Jay

Are you sure that’s not a KD burner account again haha

  35. fourpinz8

Forever Grateful For What He Did In Spite Of Kawhi And Uncle Dennis But He Has Soured On Me. We Are Laughing To The Draft With The 2 1st Round Picks.

  36. Geohalbert

Whatever dude, I’ve moved on from your shitty grammar and narcissism. Don’t miss you at all

  37. SaintSavage1

Damn as a Heat fan what’s wrong with this guy. You guys really did great to keep things under wrap and to get the most you could get off of a borderline all star who throws fits apparently. Spurs have been a class organization for 20+ years straight.
