Here’s a deal that works under the cap. Picks to be determined. But I would say most would go to SA for making it happen.
Knicks get OG, Richardson, George Hill and Ibaka. Grayson Allen also works I believe.
Toronto gets Poelti, Obi and D. Jeffries (for cap puposes).
Milwaukee gets Reddish
SA gets Rose and Arcidiacono.
Knicks lineup Brunson, RJ, OG, Randle and Mitch, with a bench of Hill, IQ, Richardson, Grimes, Sims and Hart/Ibaka.
RJ and OG would split 10 to 13 minutes of backup 4 behind Randle.
The trade also works with Fournier and Hart going to SA instead of Rose and Arcid. In that case, the Knicks bring back both McDermott and Richardson.

He is really, really good. With him and Mitch—both 25—we’d lock in an elite defensive ceiling for many years to come.
You try to keep Grimes imo. Hurts to lose IQ but you need to give to get. IQ/Obi/Cam and 2 picks could get it done and you could argue we wouldn’t be losing that much.
Brunson/Barrett/OG/Randle/Mitch with Grimes and still a surplus of picks would have us in a really good spot.

I would miss Obi, but I think he’d get a real shot in Toronto and he deserves more playing time. Local kid, gotta do right by him.

Amount of people talking about benching RJ in this thread like it’s not a pipe dream. We drafted him 3rd overall, he’s started all but 1 game his entire career, we just gave him a big 4-year salary, and he’s gotten better each year. There is no world in which this guy is coming off of the bench without huge drops in his play or him requesting a trade.
