This was a great read, and I’m glad someone in the local media didnt pull any punches. Ted runs arguably the worst run franchise in the league and has never had to answer for the mediocrity. Hopefully the heat turns up. It’s flat out embarrassing that a NBA team in a large media market is so irrelevant.

Candace with the brutally real take as always

  3. Condemning a trade that’s only half finished lol

I don’t have WashPost can someone give me a breakdown?

They gave him an offer and he didn’t accept, were they supposed to keep him and let him get a contract in RFA? The biggest problem here is they wasted the 9th pick on a guy whose limitations on draft night are still here. All those excuses about him being a sponge, being a late bloomer is a good thing for health, etc. Tommy is just a trash GM, point blank. The amount of bail people on here was throwing this guy was always crazy. He’s legit Grunfeld 2.0.

Candace rules. That last paragraph is 🔥

    >Oh, it’s great fun. **WATWD** happens every time the Wiz thumb around the reset button, halfheartedly pressing it without dramatically changing a thing. It’s the cute little pump fake that happens whenever they feign to move on but don’t actually move forward.

I love this and am fully on board with using it. Throw Tommy Sheppard’s “The Wizard Way” in the trash! #WATWD!

  8. I can’t read it but I agree with the headline. The only thing I question is why this Rui trade would trigger this article? Rui wasn’t very good so he wasn’t part of the team’s future therefore trading him for peanuts or letting him walk for nothing were the two options available. My understanding is the wiz tried to extend him at one point but a deal wasn’t met.

Things that should trigger an article like this: Beal’s ridiculous contract, Kuz’s upcoming ridiculous contract, a refusal to tank and build though the draft

Clearing cap space to build around their mid 3.

Oh, so now articles are acting like they were in a position of strength before the trade. That’s rich.

They were mediocre before the trade, so if they still are, then status quo. if not then they’re closer to tanking, which some are calling for.
