I don't who to blame or credit for the Laker moves the last few years. I read rumors that Jeanie Buss consults Phil Jackson, Kurt Rambis, and Magic Johnson. Additionally, Lebron and AD wanted the Westbrook trade, so who knows what other moves they swayed.
My only issue with Rui is his durability, he plays in about 50 games per season. I’m not sure if that has to do with injury or the Wizards simply not playing him. So it’s not a complete steal for the lakers and I think the Wizards know that too just my thoughts 🤔🤷🏾♂️
As much as I like Rui, Lakers fans need to temper their expectations. Rui is solid, but don't think he alone will save your season, Lakers are still 12th and their best player (Anthony Davis) is still a walking Injury Report.

It's a great trade even in a vacuum. Rui had more upside than anything coming out of 2 second rounders. I've liked Rui for awhile and have felt he would do much better on a different team.

I think Kuzma helped the Lakers for Rui. Maybe a commitment from Kuzma to sign with Wizard if they will trade Rui to the Lakers.
