`weirdo push shot` is also a funny name. i think its more lik sengun`s version for tear drop shot patented by tony parker. it is used quite commonly in european leagues.
However, its quite useful and it increased sengun`s range while not having to use jumpshot, he is p creative with his game.

Lowe is spot on across the board here. Especially his last paragraph about how exciting the Sengun, Jabari and Eazy Eason front court trio is. They’re a perfect fit together on both sides of the court (assuming Jabari’s shooting eventually comes along).
I might just cut and paste this blurb on Sengun’s defense in the future, it is so spot on.
Hope our front office is seeing the same thing as opposing players and coaches across the league are, and what Lowe is here. I’ve given up on this coach to ever see it, but hopefully Stone at least does.

I hesitate to call SENGUN a bad defender due to Jalen KPJ and Gordon allowing their men to run past them every time. Poor Sengun is left to defend two men at once more often than not.

The front office realizes this but winning is not the immediate priority and Sengun is developing just fine. The front office wanted a full evaluation of the KPJ/Jalen backcourt to know what the possibility is there. They’ll eventually pivot to evaluating a Sengun-centric offense. They just want to be sure that what they’re seeing is signal and not noise in both cases which requires time

I think I have the same opinion as Lowe. I see sooo much more potential for greatness in Jabari and Sengun. I think Green has that potential too, but he won’t ever reach it with the way our offense is currently architected

Always feels like he is getting to right spots vs last year. He doesn’t have vertical challenge ability, but we have length elsewhere to help out. I think getting to right spot is more important.
And yea not much you can do on defense when guys blow past our first layer. At that point it is damage reduction as the second layer.

I’m going to hold off on any assumptions until March of the 23-24 season. See who we traded, kept, and we will really know if Jalen or Sengun takes the next leap. Also Jabari should be a solid 15/5/3 by mid next season if he is going to be an all star.

This season is frustrating to watch, because you want to see more improvement than we’re currently seeing, but you have to wonder how much of that is by design. Another lottery pick has the potential to help tremendously, especially if it’s 1 or 2 obviously, but what really excites me about next season is the addition of vets to this daycare team we have on the floor now. Add a few veterans who actually give a shit and want to win, and we could see a completely different attitude from these guys. Add in the fact that we don’t have our own pick so there’s zero reason to tank, and this could be an absolutely night and day type of situation. Sure, this is tough to watch, but the knowledge of what could be coming makes it much more palatable.

I feel like during this very trying season, it’s basically the only thing we can really all agree on.
As frustrated as I am with his front office, I think they have done a pretty decent job building out the talent pool with some subprime pick slots.

For most of last season and this year, I’ve loved Sengun but in the back of my mind I still feel like he’s more of a 6moty type of player. But recently he has just been unbelievable, and make me actually believe he has Jokic-lite capability and role on offense.

Realistically I think for the rockets to suceed, you build around Sengun for now, continue to develop smith to become a complimentary 3 and D player, have KPJ or Green come off the bench in a jordan Clarkson role and then draft someone like Scoot to be senguns side kick. Also wouldn’t hurt to trade for a solid forward so that smith can play at the 3
