Honestly 100% correct, was pretty werid to see the sub overreact like it did when it happened

* Too many fans of an organization that hasn’t won a championship since 1978 – “Get rid of Rui! He doesn’t pass!” * NBA Champion from 2020 – [“We told Rui, if they don’t double team you, you don’t pass – you go to work”.](https://twitter.com/ClutchPointsApp/status/1618510104927821825)

Maybe just maybe having a guy that can get buckets is a good thing, and just randomly passing it around until the shot clock is at 4 and you have your maybe-he’ll-stay-maybe-he-won’t player shoot a shot fans criticize him for, isn’t actually a good thing. But hey, who knows right.

Does it hurt to hear discussions like this about Rui for the people who were having a meltdown over the trade? It seems like people seem to think it was an even trade or the Wizards got the better end cause of the picks, and now we see Kendrick Nunn is a lot better than a lot of people thought cause they didnât even bother to look into him or the context of his situation with the Lakers.
The trade was primarily due to Kyle Kuzmaâs emergence as an outstanding player and Deniâs youth, contract, and promise. These guys in this clip are saying precisely what it is about Rui and that he didnât develop his game at all. Thatâs not the Wizards’ fault he didnât have the drive to do what they wanted him to do. He refused to progress his skillset. They wanted him to be an essential piece, and he was just mid. I can’t believe he asked for a trade to do the exact same shit he was doing here. Good discussions to be had here, but the reaction was mind-boggling, acting like the kid was Kawhi Leonard or Khris Middleton. Just glad it’s all getting processed now, but these media people are the opinions you value
