just not our night. on a positive note, we gotta use spence better when luka’s back and our defense is starting to look better

  2. Seeker1115

Hardaway is supposed to be a scorer. He was outscored tonight by Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Green, and Reggie Bullock. Inexcusable.

  3. uncomfortablesmile

Not a terrible loss given the circumstances

  4. Active_Page_3886

Powell still sucks. Don’t be fooled

  5. Can’t really be too disappointed with this, we’ll see how we play when we have all our guys back

  6. Butterfly_Scape

i mean ik the comments are going to be doomerville but i’m actually pleasantly surprised we kept it close

  7. MFFL12_17

The rebounding problem is too blatant for the Mavs front office to ignore. We need a real reliable board man.

  8. Landonkey

I don’t understand how a player shooting below 40% from the floor for two consecutive years is getting meaningful minutes in the NBA, much less starting minutes on a probable playoff team.

…and I’m not talking about Bullock

  9. bones-n-hugs

It really sucks because you see top tier superstars playing in 62-68 games/82 and I wish we could afford Luka more nights off (due to usage rate) but I’m hoping this ankle injury is a blessing in disguise in the fact that he gets well deserved rest and comes back pissed off and hungry (hope he doesn’t eat too much 🤣) for a MVP type run leading into games 60-82.

  10. We fought hard, it’s just really hard without our 2 best guys. If Luka is out an extended period we’re absolutely screwed

  11. StefonDiggsHS

Trade Tim for a center we have enough shooting

  12. ChuckMoody

Kidd need to cut minutes of our main guys. He is running half the roster into the ground

  13. soldadodecope

Honestly Its better to just tank and get a top 10 pick This year.

This team has 0 chance of winning a title.

  14. OriginalWilhelm

Trade Timmy for a second round pick at this point. He just ruins the flow of the game.

  15. TheAus10

I really wanna trade Tim, maybe even a just a second round pick or two (plus salary filler).

Idk, just give all his minutes to Hardy. Let the kid develop. I’ve said it before but I’d rather watch Hardy play and probably make mistakes than continue watching Tim miss layups and wide open 3s. At least there’s a hope that Hardy can grow and develop from his mistakes.

  16. reddit_reader_25

Vanderbilt and Beasley would look on Dallas

  17. Onebigfreakinnerd

    Bad but not terrible.

We’re missing our star and our “second”, so obviously the results aren’t too pretty. The Jazz aren’t a bad team though. Beasley hitting some CRAZY shots even with fantastic Mavs defense and Markkanen just existing were pretty much gonna ensure we didn’t win this game, especially without our top 2

  18. Seeker1115

I can’t wait for next season, mostly so that we’ll let the “People forget we have Frank” bit die, and also so that I can forget about Frank.

  19. edmarcake

Im tired with THJ inconsistency… His actual shot is different with his practice shot wtf. He jumps higher in his actual shot. Hire him a shooting coach.

  20. somegoodassporn

Last in league in assists AND rebounds. Great team building strategy 👍

  21. musicalpants999

Technically 0-6 without Luka now. But in all seriousness I think that was a decent showing considering our missing players.

  22. PussyCharlatan

Hardy got pulled immediately after a turnover on the same play that Timmy missed a wide open layup in transition and got to stay in to continue bricking for the rest of the game

  23. dragonwhale

What bothers me the most about the Mavs isnt the lack of talent. It’s not the fact that they are starting. It’s the fact that they start year after year after year. Luka Doncic has been a MVP player for four years now and Tim Hardaway and Dwight Powell have somehow started with him all these years.

It’s just weird. It’s so, so weird.

  24. Oh look another morale victory that still ends up as an L. If we want to actually make the play in we will need to actually win one of these

  25. HotdogIsaSandwitch

So the Nets are looking for center depth right? Trade JaVale’s ass. What’s the point in keeping him on the bench if we don’t even play him when most of our big men are hurt. Patty Mills and Seth are on the trade block right? Trade JaVale for one of those guys.

Then get THJ the hell of my team and trade him to Orlando for Bamba, Chuma, and RJ. Then waive RJ

  26. surewhyynot_

    Not a real problem: Timmy

Actual problems: McGee being on this team and Kidd refusing to play Hardy

  27. sky-trader

Just trade D Powell, trade hatdaway, trade mcgee, Jesús Christ how are they Even playing in the NBA

  28. haroldthegiraffe

These are all the players that should play, just replace Bertans with Luka, swap reggie and tim, and cut everyone’s minutes for Luka. And when Wood comes back cut everyone more, and give powell 16 minutes a game.

    Luka (36), Wood (32), DFS (32), Green (26), Dinwiddie (32), Bullock (26), THJ (24), Powell (16), Frank (14).

After Kleber comes back you take 4 off frank, 4 off powell, 2 off wood, 2 off Green, 2 off Dinwiddie (minutes not at the 1), 6 off Bullock, 4 off THJ to give him 24 minutes.

My reasoning for keeping Frank even when Maxi is back is this team needs as much defense as possible in with Luka and Spencer in theory being able to carry both units on offense. The defense is so bad with 2 of Luka/Spencer/Tim, let alone 3

I really like a bench unit with Spencer always at the point and THJ, Green, Kleber, Powell and Frank making up those minutes.

I feel like Bullock starting for THJ and Green coming in early (6 minute mark) for Dinwiddie is a really good idea.

I think Maxi should run the 4 with Wood at times, and depending on the matchup either the backup 5 fully, or the 4 with powell
