Lmao combine for 71 never mind Joel was one point short of DOUBLING Jokic’s output. The disrespect

  2. nurse_mac

Embiid is the only one who came up big today

  3. Thegrandmistressofoz

Why did I read “Battle of the Pigs”, I might be going senile

  4. Philly-lifegoeson

One thing was clear today, the Joker is not as good as Embiid. Embiid is a force defensively while the Joker is not nearly as intimidating

  5. Ssuuushi

Jesus ESPN loves to slurp jokic it’s almost comical at this point

  6. Why not add Tucker and his 2 points? It’s still an impressive and true headline. What a fucking joke.

  7. AFishOutOfWater3

    Embiid : 47
    Jokic : 24

NBA Media: “Embiid has twice as many points as Jokic…..Embiid has 2x as many points as our MVP……Embiid has 2x the amount of points to our MVP…..Embiid is 2nd the amount of points to our MVP…..Embiid is 2nd to our MVP”

  8. Johnnygunnz

    How about…

“A new MVP? Joel doubles Jokic output”

  9. percy2376

After tonight’s performance he should move ahead of him for the mvp race but I bet he won’t

  10. themeatbridge

This has strong Stacey King vibes. “Jordan and I combined to score 70 points tonight!”

  11. jgatsby22

You know what, I’d want Jokic to win MVP 3 years in a row.
Just to watch Denver only make it to the WCF, Jokic never win a title, and the media just making endless excuses.
If Joel wins a title, then that would just be icing on the cake, just so that he can then call everyone out for their bullshit takes and bias. Regardless Denver is most likely getting obliterated come playoff time.

  12. Sounds like “the Aaron brothers combine for 768 career major league home runs”

  13. SniperShake-

this reminds me of the time me & Kobe combined for 81 points

  14. clickstops

This gets more clicks. Nuggets fans aren’t going to click the Embiid statline title, which would be way better journalism. But it’s not about good recaps, it’s about clicks.

  15. HisExcellency20

They also combined for one win. Truly great performances on both sides.

  16. Soft_Cold_490

Fuck the media bias. We’re just going to have to love Jojo a little more. I offer my wife up as tribute.

  17. Sexyturtletime

“Kobe Bryant and Kwame Brown combine for 84 points”

  18. I_am_Burt_Macklin

This is the opposite of what ESPN normally does. If it was anyone else they’d be saying they “slayed the joker” and be crowning them the next Lebron lol.

  19. 7DSixers

Cuz they are trying to appeal to a national audience. 2 players going off is a more enticing title than 1 player going off…

  20. GuntherFinklestien

“Jokic and Murray combine for almost as many points as Embiid”

  21. Qui3TKyD

I’ve said it for years now, people respect Jokers game but feat the fuck out of Embiids game. When Jo is on there is no stopping him at all

  22. ActionShackamaxon

Embiid blowing by Jokic for the gaudy slam was #6 on SportsCenter top 10. Easily should have been top 3. Apparently some college dude on Dartmouth dunking the ball and getting a block on the other end is more impressive than Joel absolutely daddying the repeat league MVP.

  23. ghost_0101

I know Harden can have a good stat line really easily but he’s gotta be more aggressive if he’s gonna have the ball in his hands that much. Embiid is a super star so they’re still winning. But he’s gotta at least try to drive sometimes, not just stepback 3s. You can see he’s kind of lost his confidence in his drive, but he’s gotta still try. Even if he only gets by half the time. This was a guy who had the highest percentage of successful drives a few years ago. He’s still way more aggressive than last year which is good but I think he’s gotta be a little more if they wanna go far in the playoffs.

  24. PeteWWWong

Besides providing a live-feed and the remnants of Simmons era content (podcasts/docs) ESPN is so trash.

  25. jawny-appleseed

jesus christ espn and the whole of nba media is so fucking salty that their fat golden boy got cooked by embiid. the way they manipulate the narratives with subtle shit like this drives me crazy. last year when the nuggets won the highlights were all “JOKIC OUTDUELS EMBIID” but when embiid wins its “yeah they both had good games can’t really say who was better tho”

  26. Groovicity

Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokić, and George *”Kitara”* Santos combine for 71 points!

    ELITE!!! 🐐 🐐 💃
