Brogdon staying cool and taking over
Brogdon challenge
Westbrook chokes
Pat Bev’s camera move
and the fact that it ended
Brogdon deserves so much more appreciation after this game
no team would feel bad for us if they won on a bad call
Honestly beating the Lakers and Lebron due to a missed call just makes it 1000x better

Lots of nephews in here apparently unaware of history, or perhaps this is just their initial part of fandom.
The Celtics have been fucked by officials vs. the Lakers time and time again. Riley was a master at getting in refs’ heads (respect to Pat, albeit he is actually Satan).
Maybe a lot of Redditors were not old enough to watch Game 7 in 2010 – that was a pure, unadulterated referee prison punking of the Celtics. I still feel like we actually won that game, the refs just ‘adjusted it’ for … well, for the same reason NBA officials always do: for the league’s best interests.
I don’t actually think the refs are anti-Boston. I think they are pro-ratings, pro-superstar, and just call bad games at this point
There’s nothing dirty about this win – James has had a million gift calls in his storied career, and will get many more. One fucking call? Big deal. The bigger actual story is how entitled he is, throwing his tantrum.

At first, I thought I wouldn’t be able to enjoy a Celtics win in OT given that horrendous call on the last play. Would have felt totally undeserved.
But I saw Lebron pout like a bitch. And Bev run on the floor like an idiot with a camera to the ref. And I remembered we’re playing the Lakers. Then I laughed.
Suddenly, all was right in the world.
