Given his proximity and unobstructed view, there is no other explanation than he ate his whistle for Boston. A random Dad reffing rec league could see that call.

I don’t understand why the NBA can’t or won’t vet refs to the level of at LEAST a Vegas casino does with their security/floor personnel. At most something similar but obv below government tier jobs. You have to make SURE these fuckers aren’t being bought off. Bc at this point there’s something going on esp against the Lakers. Fuck the bullshit excuses. It’s either a very clear bias which is antithetical to what being a ref should be or they are actively influencing the results of certain games. ESP with the advent of gambling in the league, how can you as the NBA not make 100% sure the refs you employ are officiating the game fairly without bias? How is there not a system in place at least for the last minute of a close game that escalates these moments automatically to the NBA review center? Why are coaches punished for WINNING a challenge earlier by not being able to challenge again? I mean is the NBA still a sport or is it purely entertainment? Have we moved to the NBA being the WWF? In sports the storylines write themselves, you don’t have to manipulate it. It’s like the LEAGUE hates their marquee teams. They are so concerned with parity and “fair play” that they actively punish the marquee franchise. It’s like the Lakers trades to get AD, last year having an old but still on paper superteam, this year having three “superstars”, all the leaks about ineptitude in the FO…..I don’t know it just feels like the league before the season mandated the Lakers not be a top team, not have a path back towards greatness, let’s let our other stars’ teams win. I hate this shit. We all sat through last year when we were just bad.
