Very clear cut we’re looking to make a move this deadline.
I think the second part of that quote is insurance in case we can’t get a deal done, then the org can say we’re very happy with who we’ve got.

Am I the only one thinking this roster looks fantastic?! The only thing that could bust this team are freak injuries.
And weāve had more of those than statistically probable in the past decade.
Hear me out: trade for Poeltl and Terrance Ross and this team is broken.

Feels nice to have an owner who is willing to spend and wants to win the championship.
Plumlee is only making 8-9 mil this year, idk what weād have to give up to get him, but having a starting center as your backup big wouldnāt be too bad.
My hope would be that maybe we can get in on a 3 or 4-team deal where Phoenix gets a player they view as their long term 4, whether it’s OG, Siakam, John Collins etc. and we come in as the third team in the deal to take on Cam Johnson (who in this scenario, they probably wouldn’t be able to pay) and give up the Derrick White package in terms of picks.
I love wyc, he makes other owners in boston (FSG and John Henry) look like clowns.
Iād rather we trade for a quality backup wing and look to get a big on the buy out market. Tatum and Brown being healthy and fresh for the playoff run is absolutely imperative. Having a big behind Rob/Al is less of a priority in my opinion because Grant and Kornet can soak up some minutes if need be, and getting abby your guy to soak up some more minutes should be a little easier.
I thought we were the deepest team in the league when Hauser was playing well. But since heās fallen off, thereās been a real need for a backup wing. Tatum was burnt out after playing too many minutes during the semi-finals and ECF. How is he going to perform when heās been playing those same minutes for 6 months straight?
