[White] .@johnhollinger: “Ask anyone in the league who is the worst-organized, least-sound team in the NBA, and they will tell you it’s the #Rockets . Most of their key players’ worst habits haven’t improved.” “They play like an AAU team, except they’re in the NBA.” (from the Athletic)

I’m not saying this critique of our team isn’t valid, but I’m so burnt out on the panic.

  2. everything will change when we draft whemba. if we cant…… well at least i got sixers and harden to root for….

I get it but it’s John Hollinger. It’s essentially beating a dead horse now. Let’s deal with it and move on to improving next year.

Hollinger (and anyone in the league) are judging the team under the standard criteria of “assuming that the team wants to win”

That’s not what the team wants.

The lack of vets…the lack of structure…these are the ‘hacks’ to the system that allows a team with this much raw talent to stay at the bottom. Yeah, it’d be bad *if* we were trying to win. As it is, it’s actually the secret sauce that is providing better draft odds.

It reminds me of the Lakers years back when they had Clarkson, Dlo, Randle, Ingram then Ball, Hart, Kuzma, And Caruso. A young team that couldn’t put it together. Every player blossomed after they left the Lakers. With so much young talent you just don’t know what you have yet. Wouldn’t be surprised if only Green & Sengun were the only ones left when the Rockets are finally good.

I mean this is true.. look at the other teams that is losing as well.. they have structure at least.

You watch a mediocre team like the Bulls play and it’s insane how quick they make their offensive reads and just generally the speed they play at. The ball moves constantly whether in an iso or pass form. You watch us and it’s exactly like described, an AAU team. We are so clunky it’s insane.
