Disappointing to say the least. 12 missed FTs and 18 turnovers killed us.

We need KAT back so badly to help Ant with the scoring.

They doubled Ant the entire second half. If we have KAT they can’t do that without KAT punishing them.

Still solid to split, especially without KAT.

  2. srry_didnt_hear_you

Glad we fought our way to OT, bummer we couldn’t pull it off

  3. starfruit213

Need to make free throws. Also Finch needs to quit playing Nowell so fucking much

  4. nhthelegend

Self inflicted wounds in this one. Don’t deserve to win when you shoot FTs that poorly and turn it over that much. Somehow we were still right there til the end.

  5. EsotericPotato

Absolutely fucking pathetic OT. Some of the worst defense I’ve seen from them in a long time. Horrendously stupid fucking team sometimes still. So many bad turnovers and laspes on D, especially in the clutch when it mattered most.

The starting backcourt going 1-7 from the line is just the worst thing I’ve seen with my own eyes.

Had a chance to gain some separation in the standings and they dropped the ball.

  6. FlyingScissor

Wolves hit their free throws its a wrap. Team still misses KAT on nights like tonight.

  7. Apanic_Attacka

Free throws and turnovers cost us this game

  8. thatsoneguytoyou

Dlo is the major reason we lost that game. His selfishness and low IQ. Ful display.
My ass he’s a Alpha too.

  9. DoctorPlasticCuts

Beat ourselves. Three main reasons we lost:

    1. Free throw shooting..you could pull guys from LA Fitness who would shoot better than 50%

    2. Turnovers. Ant having 6 is a problem. It’s an area he needs to get better in

    3. DLo. Didn’t show up on offense and was ugly, even by his standards, on defense

  10. AdmiralCrunch12

Not trying to do hot takes but I’m most pissed about that bench lineup to start the 4th. Gave up the lead immediately and we were on our heels the rest of the game.

  11. PlayInChampions

6-12 against Utah and 8-15 against Sac in overtime this season. Sac did not have their best player in OT too. Why do other teams give up less than 10 points in OT? Turnover turnover turnover open 3 for SAC. Our offense in OT was taking contested pull up 3s, Kings actually ran plays, mostly exposing Dlo, Gobert helps – wide open 3.

I think we all have to bet huge money against the Wolves when they have 2 games in a row against the same team and win the 1st game. They never win the second one.

  12. Ant was pretty gassed… a lot of turnovers in the final minutes. Them losing Sabonis was a blessing in disguise because it led them to playing more on the perimeter where they just broke us in OT

  13. Ace-Of-Tokiwadai

DLo played pretty poorly in this game and should share a lot of the blame for sure, but people are using this to justify ignoring a really good stretch of 3 months for him with a handful of duds at worst. I don’t think it’s fair to dogpile him for this game considering Ant had some really boneheaded turnovers down the stretch and Kyle didn’t exactly have his best game either.

    Definitely a shared loss.

  14. yoitsthatoneguy

    Free throws and turnovers

Also another fantastic game from Rudy. He was a defensive menace.

  15. DLo has been great the last two months, but tonight shows how little he brings to the court. When he’s not a 50/40/90 guy he just absolutely kills you out there, and how confident are you he’ll remain a 50/40/90 guy the rest of the way?

  16. stillhadaldis

Tough game but you still have to like 3-1 over that stretch. I wonder why finch wasn’t going Jaden on fox there at the end of the game.

  17. Able-Bodied-Virgin

Sabonis fouling out unironically killed us. Running a 5-out offense with Lyles made Rudy irrelevant on defense.

  18. Dlo is having a great month. Tough game from him today though. Shot wasn’t there and he was sleeping on defense. They targeted him so often.

Ant had a good game but sold so hard with his turnovers late game.

  19. sbmichel

Really hard to beat the same team when you play them twice in 3 days. Less concerned about the missed FTs than I am the turnovers, which will always be an issue with this team.

Back at it on Wednesday. Should be a good one.

  20. At least I can replay that McDaniels 3. Onto golden state

  21. M1THRANDlR

Ant needs to clean up these 5 or 6 turnover games. Absolute killers

  22. This game is the quintessential DLO experience. When he’s bad, he can single handily lose you the game.

  23. somemaycallmetimmmmm

Ant made too many clutch shots for them to lose like that…

  24. KnowledgePrevious

    Why we lost:
    1. Free throws obviously
    2. Insanely careless turnovers which led to a ton of points
    3. Dlo horrible shooting night, bad defense
    4. Bad offense in OT, not attacking the rim when they played small ball.

Why we didn’t lose: Gobert being unable to defend the paint and the 3 point line at the same time. These are the same braindead takes that we saw with Utah. Yes, if Dlo gets blown by and they play a stretch 5 who hangs out in the corner, that dude is getting an open 3 unless Dlo rotates out. That’s not on Gobert.

Also, fun game. Hope we bounce back quickly

  25. train345643

If dlo isn’t shooting 45-50% from three he’s such a negative. His hot streaks just aren’t worth it

  26. DeanEvasonPunch

Gobert had a monster game. But turnovers, missed free throws, and leaving the Naz-Nowell-DLo trio out there too long when they weren’t doing anything made the difference.

There were moments with absolutely beautiful ball movement and that fadeaway mid-range over three guys from Ant felt like a moment. It frustrating because you can see the vision for what the team can be but they still fall back into the ridiculous decision-making (turnovers/hero shots with no movement) and unnecessary technical fouls that plagued them last year. I keep waiting for these guys to figure it out with the turnovers.
