Lately in Pelicans games they either come out of the gates really slow and are down the whole game, making it hard to come back once they get their rhythm

They come out hot and then next half they completely lose it and lose whatever lead they’ve made

Transition defense??? We are on fast breaks and taking 3’s instead of attacking the basket and dunking to take the crowd out the game we miss the 3 and on the other end we give up a 3 because we short two players on defense. Attack the basket! Make your free throws. Transition defense missed 3’s creates long rebounds the creates fast break opportunities that puts us in situations that we feel the need to take the unnecessary 3. Coaches fits that. We have a young athletic team who can attack the basket and get back on defense. Let’s go Pels! 1-9 we at 500 ball. Zion need you on the floor in team attire after the all-star break. Let’s go!!!

I like Willie but this year there's expectations so missing the playoffs is inexcusable with or without injuries. Might be unfair but that's the way it is this year. Let's hope they can turn it around soon.
I REALLY wish someone would have asked why Kira didn't play AT ALL. Willie, you talk about transition — Kira could've been the transition king for the Pels in this game, but there he was, wasting away on the bench. I just don't get it.
