Don’t put that ish out there that Jalen might be getting jealous or feeling any sort of resentment against his own teammate for … I guess you’re saying “stealing” what was supposed to be “his” shine. Shame on this lazy talking head garbage. Jalen seems like a good teammate that wants to win above all else. Unless you’ve got some specific info with legit sources it’s irresponsible to speculate on BS like that. How about we actually examine why Alperen is so much further ahead in his development and why we keep making the “young” excuse for these other guys’ inconsistencies and inefficiencies?
Alperen is miles ahead because the international youth system is miles ahead of the sham system in the USA. Now that the game is global they’ve adopted the same system they use in football/soccer. The NCAA has wasted kids’ times for decades exploiting their talents while they have to pretend to go to school for 7 months when they should be training for their careers full time. The G league is brand new and more or less a hot mess that serves as nothing more than a brief purgatory for a handful of elite prospects without any real skill development . Literally just a stepping stone.
Al-P was identified as a potential talent as early as 11 years old and joined a professional entry system when it was clear he could play pro at 12 yo. Training full time and his schooling was alongside and streamlined for real life skills, knowledge, education, etc. focus was basketball. He’s been playing pro ball since he was 16 in the third best league in the world, won that league’s MVP award at 18. He’s light years ahead and should be no surprise. and all these are reasons the nba is experiencing an international wave of dominance while so many of these prospects like Jalen and Jabari are so frustratingly behind and raw.they can be years into their careers and we’re still projecting “ceilings” and floors for F sake!!!
