  1. Bro kyrie is good but not that good. Lakers did the right thing.

  2. Awesomefan09

That sounds like the Lakers would have had to include Reaves and Christie in addition to the two FRPs to even be considered, not to complete the trade. Fuck that noise. The Nets were never serious about any Lakers’ offer.

  3. How we about we also give them LeBron and AD? Fuck this shit

  4. So Rob made a credible offer and turned down a bad deal. Good job Rob.

  5. ngmathew1234

They really did not want Kyrie to be in LA.

  6. Soviet_Sharpshooter

“ALL” of their young players lmao okay Joe Tsai. good luck losing the play-in for the next 3 seasons

  7. kronos9797

All this for 6 months of Kyrie who was about to leave them anyways in the FA!

Nah bro, miss me with that shit, that’s some real Laker tax and Nets FO delusion.

Rather us miss out on Kyrie and make a different move using our picks, hopefully move Russ to the Raptors or something.

  8. StoneColdAM

Nets don’t want to totally cave and blow it up yet. If they took Russ and picks, that’s a guarantee KD is gone. With these role players, maybe they could convince him to stay. Doubtful, but still not impossible.

  9. Smart of him to stay prudent; that’s not good faith negotiating

  10. ADtoLA23

“Pelinka lied, he said he would go all in”

“FUCK, PELINKA OVERPAID, WTF WERE YOU THINKING?”

    Never-ending whining ass cycle.

  11. ngmathew1234

I wish he did this before trading for Westbrook.

  12. behappysometimes

At least now we know they were never serious about trading with us.

  13. FatherHaz

Everyone all day in this sub were jumping to conclusions.

  14. GlueGuy00

Nets basically wanted 2 1st, 2 1st swaps, Christie and Reaves for 28 games Kyrie lol

  15. alphonseelric2

Nets were trying to fleece the Lakers obviously. Joe Tsai didn’t want Kyrie with the Lakers in the first place. Pelinka did a good job out here.

  16. Federal_Aardvark2387

That asking price seems like it’s designed to end a negotiation rather than move it forward. Which I guess maps to what I’ve read elsewhere about Joe Tsai’s motivation.

  17. upal1510

And they say there’s no such thing as Lakers tax lmao

  18. Lebron-Needs-FTA-Too

So basically Durant said no to the Russ and two picks

  19. ZestyItalian2

If Rob had made that deal we’d have rioted

  20. Old-Beginning5257

Lakers were Kyre’s preferred destination, yeah this was all about sticking it to Kyre

  21. MReprogle

That price would be worth it for KD in a second, as we would be talking multiple championship window. However, Kyrie was risky and could have just as easily blown up in our faces

  22. crunchyfrogs

Ok now I’m putting my pitchfork away.

  23. FrenzyTotems

Fk that hahaha, there’s a high chance kyrie won’t even resign and quit basketball to pursue solving world peace and or pull a Dwight Howard

  24. vickness88

Glad we learned from the Russ trade, that would’ve been straight up dumb for either a Kyrie rental or getting stuck with him long term

  25. less-ismore

I think we were kidding ourselves thinking Tsai would actually fuck with us unless we damn near traded our whole future away for a possible rental. Yeah it would of been nice to get Kyrie for a fair price. But I think in hindsight we’ll be glad we didn’t overpay given what may transpire in Dallas.

We still got this if we can move off of Russ and just get some competent, team first guys in return. Let’s go

  26. This_is_a_Quote

This is past hustling. It’s downright an insult and an egregious waste of everyone’s time. Go eat a dick, Tsai.

  27. Ok I can live with that. We made a great offer and they didn’t want to send him here. Time to pivot, Rob.
