Hmmmm. I think he’d be a good rotational player off the bench. He can’t really shoot but he’s a lockdown though. It would be fun having all of him, Nembhard, Nesmith, and Turner on the same team
With the dropoff to Duarte’s shooting from last year you might as well get someone who can play lockdown perimeter D in that slot
he’s an interesting project because on one hand his defense is incredibly valuable but on the other hand his offense is bad enough to keep off the court…
I’ll say this – i wouldn’t trade Duarte for him. Id trade Goga, Theis, or a future 2nd round pick or two (def not the Houston 2nd).
I’m sure his value is weird though but not sure what Philly expects in a return outside of veterans who can contribute to their win-now window
If you can get him for the Boston pick, I would. Clamps with the potential to grow offensively. Would rather have him than whatever might be available with the 30th pick.
Defensive lineups with Turner, Nesmith, and Thybulle would be fun to watch.
What we really need is another 6’5″ shooting guard who can’t shoot and who is averaging 2pts, 1rb, and 0.5 assists. Yeah!
I’m down, the sixers really need a backup big so we’d might have to give up theis or something, and a Boston or cleveland pick… but yeah I’m down
Comes down to price, but I’d pass personally. Rather have the cost controlled rookie scale contracts vs an impending restricted free agent who cant play offense.
edit: Do people really want to give up the Boston pick for Thybulle? He’s a known quantity at this point. We just drafted Nembhard 31 this last year so there are good players in that part of the draft.
I don’t think his defense works without an elite rim protecter. Fortunately we have Myles. But man is he ever a huge offensive liability.
Would prefer to find defensive wings who also have some offensive game. There’s a reason he hardly sees playing time
Why? The last thing we need is another guard on this team. I like his defense but his offense is just downright bad… this would not make any sense to me if we do this.
