  1. I hope there something being quietly worked on behind the scenes, it's been too quiet. Also I don't want Siakam, it's very clear we won't be getting him without Clax. Just search else where Marks don't do it. Improve the team else where!!

  2. I'm glad to have come across this podcast. Been a Nets fan since the day they drafted Kenny Anderson. I'm praying they can build around KD without trading Cam or Clax.

  3. Porzinges for Simmons and one more player or some picks wouldn't be a bad deal for wizards.. i think

  4. Doug’s point about Ben and starting him I just don’t think I can disagree more with his take and reasoning.

First of Ben Simmons from last I checked has a -10 Netrating. That’s 20 points worse than Claxton. So based on that more comprehensive stat it fits the eye test that the dude is not a serviceable player right now and the fact that he is unplayable in the 4th kind of tells you right there whether he should be a starter. In fact he might be the only starter in the league who doesn’t play in the fourth quarter.

Second, now that you have Dinwiddie who can play point guard starting Simmons is even less of a necessity. The better lineup is clearly not with Simmons but KD, Claxton, Dinwiddie, DFS and Royce.

Third, Doug is far too concerned are going Ben’s value or playing to his ego rather than looking at how Ben’s inability to produce impacts KDs confidence in the organization. If the Nets sell to KD is “wait till ben gets healthy mentally and physically” that’s not going to cut it. If KD does have confidence in Ben then that opinion should matter more. Again, Ben productivity or lack there of has an indirect impact on how KD might view the roster moving forward and if his contract is the reason they cannot make significant moves to get better the. KD might ask out.

  5. We gotta keep Durant and recalibrate by building around him for one more run . Mr Whammy deserves it for being the greatest free throw shot blocker of all time .

  6. This team as constructed is a 1st round exit, Trade KD to Suns for Ayton , Bridges and picks.

  7. The Nets have been playing whack a mole ever since the "big three" experiment began to unravel with the fleeing of James Harden. Regardless of how many bandages, duct tape, and baling wire we use, we're just doing a patch job. We should go back to school and learn some of the methods that successful franchises use to win the chip. I know it's a long shot, because the Nets management is hooked on KD, but I hope we trade KD, before the trade deadline, to Phoenix for M. Bridges, J. Crowder, D, Saric, Cam Johnson, draft picks and draft swaps. We wont get an opportunity, anytime soon to replenish our roster like this. Should we continue to do the KD worship thing, by putting most of our effort in pleasing him rather than focusing on the team, we'll blunder, trip, and stumble the remainder of the season and fail to win the chip. That is the primary objective.

  8. I think trading Royce O'Neale to the Hornets for Mason Plumlee would fill our backup center needs. Their salaries match and the bonus, Plumlee is an expiring contract.
