everyone is going to hate on this because it’s Russ but if he’s on a low money deal he could be a good pickup

  2. Vet minimum + AKME not blowing up + no Lonzo = fuck it , sure

  3. I’m so torn on this. He really isn’t who he used to be, but at the same time he’s one of the players that got me into the league as a whole beyond just the Bulls.

He’s been effective off the bench, I wouldn’t mind him on a vet minimum.

Hmmm, a half court team that struggles because a lack of consistent shooting signing a negative floor spacer? 🤔🤔🤔

  5. Altruistic-Leader-81

yes. oh god yes it’ll be so funny

  6. Brendomyfriendo

If he’s super cheap it’s fine, but I bet he still thinks he’s worth a lot

Am I the only one who doesn’t like this? Then we wonder why young players don’t develop… like ayo

  8. Can’t see him picking the Bulls over the Clippers when he is already settled in LA.

  9. lmao i’m here for the chaos

if we’re not gonna blow it up then let’s do some crazy shit. this sub loves the idea of chicago “building their reputation back up” as a reason to wade in mediocrity, so those same fans should be happy for the prospect of rehabilitating Russ’s image lol

I was only against trading for him because him and his contract are too much, but if we sign him for cheap after a buyout? I’m in

I wouldn’t mind in Westbrook on a cheap deal

  12. BearsFan3423

Never wanted to trade for him or anything but I’d be so down to sign him for cheap

  13. justawaterisfine

He will choose Clippers which is fine

  14. FickleFred

Whatever I’m into it. Full chaos mode lol

  15. gargoyleenthusiest

Hahaha whatever. It could be fun to see how bad this actually gets.

  16. We have nothing to lose if we can sign him for cheap. Plus, he’ll be on his cyclical revenge arc after being traded. Team is going nowhere at its current state and could use some spice.

We need someone running point and an aging Westbrook is 8th in the league in assists. Pick him up on a 1 year option and see what happens.

The fact that as a fan base we see this is a plausible and seemingly reasonable solution and aren’t afraid of him “ruining the culture” means we don’t believe there is a culture.

Every big loss to a below average team shows that winning culture isn’t built into this team. It doesn’t mean it should be blown up, but it does mean something needs to shift to get on par with other franchises.

So…sure. If it lights a spark, fucking do it. But doing nothing seems worse than letting this current model go any longer.

We have the worst PG rotation in the league. Russ would only finish out the year here and then everything will be reevaluated in the offseason. If you are trying to win and keep everyone together this move 10000% makes sense.

  20. At this point, let’s go for it. Why not. Embrace the crazy.

  21. There’s basically no risk in signing him y’all are insane lmao.

  22. PaintPusha

    Bro ive lived through: Trading J-Crossover for Dikembe… CJ Watson…Mike James 3x…John Lucas…Cam Payne…Isaiah Canaan+MCW *over* Dinwiddie…Trading D.Rose for Jerian Grant…
I say fuck it. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Run me my downvotes😂

  23. there is no chance he passes up the clippers to come to the bulls

  24. ducksonaroof

It would be hilarious if we sign him and it works out big time lol
