It wouldn’t shock me if Nick gets scapegoated if they miss the playoffs.

  2. LebronsSideChick

Masai = braindead, lost, confused, idk bro lost it

  3. FaphandZamasu23

And our cap is gonna be hurting if we may those three players the money they want. Imagine having 3 locked up players that at best pushes our ceiling to a second round loss

  4. pskill43

Second round ceiling is generous. The team is lucky to be in playin

  5. Sunbear94

Second round ceiling honestly sounds optimistic. I’d be surprised if we don’t get swept in the first round(assuming we even make the playoffs)

  6. This shit’s gonna become worse than the Bargs era by 2025 if we don’t commit to a hard tanking spree for the rest of the season.

  7. Masai deliberately sabotaging the franchise to guarantee a top pick in the 2029 draft because there’s some 12 year old Nigerian soccer player with long arms he’s got his eye on

  8. shiftydnm

I’m a hornets fan after this Masai press conference at 4pm

  9. Masai probably scouting some guy in Brazil to bring into the 905 to experiment

  10. your_dope_is_mine

Quite disappointed. We took a big L this window, going to take a lot of things to fall into place in our favour in the off-season (sign and trades) for us to feel like we’re going in a positive direction.

  11. Citylights58

Gary can improve over time and grow with Scottie. Hopefully we can do a sign and trade for FVV in the summer

  12. TheNewKing2022

The only F the FO took was not trading Malachi for a bag of balls. That’s it

  13. blazewarrior32

masai got cocky after the kawhi trade thinking he can fleece everyone

  14. Tosbor20

Front office isn’t interested in winning.

  15. Canadia1867

Don’t worry, I’m sure we can somehow get to the play-ins and win the Pat Bev championship!!

  16. Rosycross416

Maybe it’s the master plan for everyone to start to hate Masai so he can leave.

  17. Raptorsthrowaway1

Jokes aside. If Gary and Fred both walk for nothing. Masai and Bobby should be out of a job.

This is extremely risky asset management. If you did this in any other professional context…..

  18. Swift_42690

Lmfao second round ceiling? In what planet?

  19. MrRobot_96

Let the “Im smarter than Masai” circlejerk begin. Can’t wait to see how y’all react when they draft a stud and make proper well thought out moves in the off season. All you nephews will pretend like you weren’t screeching like school girls in this thread 🤣

    I got the receipts tho

  20. n3moh0es

this team isn’t winning a round have some shame. i don’t care what the FO did in the past, last 3 years they been a bottom 3 FO in the league

  21. whatareyouairing

Isn’t JD also the guy that suggested we trade Fred and Gary for Westbrook and two 1st rounders?

  22. Every team competing devalues their pick.

If they’re competing next year they won’t need their pick given the investments they’re making. If the team is underperforming they’ll need to trade out someone for picks. We clearly saw how liberally picks can be given in trades just a moment ag

Retaining Free agents is their job. They’re probably very confident they can keep Fred and Poeltl. On the matter of Gary, I’m not sure they know if they want to keep him or not nor do we know if they’re making trades in the off-season.

    What I do think though.

If Gary is going to the bench right now, they’re probably thinking the starting roster is stronger as a whole with him coming off the bench or being outright replaced. Resigning Assets may be better for this team than just trying to make a decision now because the season went awry earlier on.

I think they learned with Precious being out for so long where the point of failure was for the team and why a defensive-oriented organization is not doing well on defense.

  23. jeRskier

I kinda think we’re gonna sneak into the top six now lmao ^(ducks from the tank fans, pls dont kill me)

  24. Kevita24

This is a really bad move…I defended the Thad trade last season, and I truly believed it was a smart move, which it wasn’t, and although I like Jakob, this trade made no sense at all right now, especially for a 2024, lightly protected pick…

Masai and Bobby have done a poor job of managing assets and building a roster over the past 2-3 seasons…they won us a title, ok…but that doesn’t mean we need to ignore the fact that they’ve done a terrible job with the roster, and made some questionable moves over the past 2 seasons…

  25. thebeardedone-29

We should trust the front office, The last time I saw this kind of negativity is when we drafted Scottie over Suggs and that turned out well. Let’s trust our front office. The season isn’t over yet.

  26. LilSpitty69

oh no how will they ever live with their soon to be 3 time all nba star, reigning roty, young dpoy caliber player, and solid defensive centre waaah

  27. ObscureTickReference

JD Bunkis is an opinionated ass.

  28. Green-Umpire2297

Sounds like someone had a column pre-written about an OG trade and is mad that he can’t use it.

  29. Oh no, only the second round! Whatever will we do? There are starving fans in Sacramento who would love a second round ceiling. Sometimes, they lay awake at night dreaming of a second round ceiling. Their idea of heaven is a second round ceiling.

  30. IonHazzikostasIsGod

    Haters mad

JD is historically dumb as rocks

  31. SorcererBarnes

I am actually ecstatic with how the front office handled this. Poeltl is exactly the glue we need to make this work. All you kids crying and gnashing your teeth can come back from your time outs once we’re winning and having a blast again 🙂

  32. baconperogies

We still legit might miss the playoffs lol

  33. EdwardBliss

When we win the 7 of our next 8 games, Masai is going to look like a genus

  34. PocketSand111

Masai did this to spite the janitor for leaking his true plans.

  35. RepeatedLikeRepeated

God I hate when people say this, people say Trust in Masai because he is known to make good/great decisions, we know he can do wrong i.e. one bad draft in flynn in recent years. just i would trust him over any other GM to figure out a direction for the team and to make the right decisions.

  36. oh hey its an edgy tweet so im supposed to think it has some value

what i told you it has actually zero value

  37. WombRaider_3

It’s like fucking Stockholm Syndrome in here. When are some of you going to realize Masai isn’t some genius and just a man? This was a very underwhelming series of events.

  38. carbonanotglue

I wish we could’ve traded all these trash ass bandwagon fans

  39. Masai deserves that level of blind trust, he’s absolutely earned it.
