Ive been watching the Rockets since 1991. Of all the teams I have seen come though, this team will always be the one that hurts the most. Before, it was the 1997 WCF team, and to a lesser extent the Artest/Yao team in 2009.
But this team. This team was a hamstring injury away from beating the greatest team ever assembled. We even had it up to about 8 mins left in the 4th quarter of game 7. This team was a 70+ win team when you factor in how many games Chris and James missed that year (34). We still won 65 games that year.
Probably the greatest team to not win the championship in the last 30 years.
