It was like the off-season after the bubble… we needed a center so bad. We didn’t do shit and waited too long.

We really just expect Gary to be happy coming off the bench for the entire season and re sign with us after?
It’s actually hard to believe we fumbled the trade deadline this badly when there was so much interest and so much demand.
We have objectively gotten worse in so many ways. Our ceiling is still low. But now we’ve lost a pick, have to pay 3 free agents instead of 2, and have extra questions about fit, spacing, that we need to address, and also our pick this year will probably be a worse pick.
Im actually disgusted at this. Masai and Bobby yet again have acted like absolute snobs and turned their nose up at good offers. This team needs huge changes and we had the chance to make them.

We got a good C and it’s with a homegrown group that has good chemistry together. We can continue adding pieces if necessary.
All those people who are upset we didn’t tank, I understand your perspective but you do realize that means the possibility of years of unwatchable basketball, just for the chance to get a lottery pick.

At the end of the day, we both want what’s best for the team. That being said, I owe Masai some faith after reacting like a moron when we picked Barnes over Suggs.
You know how our defense only cares about shutting down stars? Our front office only cares about winning trades. They don’t care if they will take less on a sign and trade, or lose a player for nothing. They will not lose a trade.
There are some rational reasons behind it, but there is also some ego and hubris behind it too.
I’m not sure why everyone is disappointed we got Jakob for absolutely nothing. This move also pushes GTJ to bench once OG is back, which we desperately need. Hopefully, MLSE will pay this summer to retain everyone those cheapskate.
