I am gonna start out by saying this season it has felt like every time the Warriors find a tiny bit of momentum something happens where someone gets hurt or they loose 2 or 3 GM's in a row. Tonight they did not play their best game but when they got those couple of bursts it felt like the Lakers came back took the Lead & their last comeback the Warriors could not get it back. Hopefully when Steph comes back they are able to find the momentum they are looking for going into the Playoffs if they make it in.
GP2, if he ever plays this season for the Warriors, is not going to solve their biggest issue – the lack of any type of consistent and good front court scoring. The Warriors are terrific when the 3's are falling – any team is – but when they are not they get almost nothing inside, they don't get to the free throw line, they don't put pressure on the defense.
Unless something changes drastically, this Warrior team going nowhere this year. I truly think the trade for Payton was a awful trade and really does nothing for the Warriors.

I’m not seeing the effort Steve is talking about. We consistently settle for mediocre shots early in the shot clock and are too careless with the ball. The team without Steph just isn’t good and doesn’t know how to close games if the 3 isn’t falling.
It’s so obvious than we need a big and idk why they can’t see that or it’s hard for them to sign them. When we were able to get gp2 (hopefully) then why can’t we get a big? This team never listens to us fr cuz if they did then we would have a center by then. I say we need another 3 and d player as well. But I doubt it they’ll make a move. 1. No team in NBA history, neigh basketball history….has seen ownership go to town for them in salary and luxury tax than these Warriors, and it's not close.
2. The Dubs haven't been particularly injured, and certainly not compared to many other teams.
3. At some point if a team has tons of veteran leadership and the highest paid talent and it's not close, and they still hover around .500 all season…..you have to ask yourself what is the head coach not doing or seeing or pinpointing as to the problems.
While i like Kerr and am not blaming him fully, and do not want him replaced, one at some point at least if you're me asks him or herself "how much of a legend coach and genius coach would Kerr have been had instead of the Warriors job opening up right then, the Knicks job that was his other option was the direction he went instead?"
It's just fact that if Kerr went instead to NY how we all perceive him would be completely different. There's no way he would have won anytime soon there, the dis function there and lack of talent. His record would have been good at best, and that only if he somehow inspired the players there at the time to over achieve, which one can question the likelihood of.
I think if Kerr went to NY he'd have spent 5 years there spinning wheels, not winning, then maybe coaching elsewhere or maybe not due to back issues and burnout.
But instead he chose the GSW job. Good choice, glad he made it but an easy choice, even at the time one could see the talent emerging here compared to NY at the time.
So, we love Kerr, he's a god in the bay and rightfully so, he has won. But the Warriors all his time have been loaded, new rich ownership, all time greats.
The truth of Kerr's greatness is probably somewhere lower than certainly perception of him now and likely how it all ends up when his career is over. He's great, don't get me wrong (and the fact he won playing lends weight to the argument of his overall greatness but one is playing one is coaching, he shouldn't get cred as a coach for the fact he played for great stars, coaches and teams.) But is he THAT great as we assume as a coach? I don't think so, but i also don't think he's a bad coach and i think he's great for the Bay Area and of course i want him to keep on coaching.
But here again. Dubs not that injured compared to all teams. BY FAR the highest spenders therefore should be depth and talent or close too, just won it all. Yet this?
Whatever you want to say, all these things are true. I just think Kerr has a force field shield here (and i get that, he's "deserved" it if anybody has, i get that. But i think there is a case Steve has benefited from right job at the right time then added his smarts to it…but it's more the team than him and has been more all along, again not that he's not a fine coach, just gets overrated as all coaches with all time talent do (and the highest spending ownership group in the leagues history too.)

Our defense isnt good…cant keep them in front of us and no rim protection…also we chuck up 3’s all game so when we miss we cant set up our defense makin it harder on ourselves…enough with the 3/4 guard rotation so stupid
