I don't really think it's a good idea for Luka or the team to change the way they've been playing for Kyrie. Spencer wasn't aggressive enough in that role, Kyrie will be, and he's just much better, so he'll find a way to get his and excel in that same role, but it's best for the team if Luka continues to do exactly what he's been doing.
Why is Dallas having issues in the buyout market? I thought that adding Kyrie would've made Dallas more appealing. He's like this well respected & beloved guy with the players. I guess I can understand what's his face choosing the Suns over the Mavs. They were probably the one playoff team that has even MORE minutes & opportunity to offer than the Mavs can. But still….feel like there were a few names the Mavs could've used.

As a Mavs fan, I'm not that worried about the Suns….in a series. Let's be clear about that. In a single game I'm probably picking the Suns but not feeling confident about it. But absolutely, in a series I'm not concerned.
Mainly because of Bullock & Green. At least those guys have a CHANCE at slowing down Booker and/or Durant. Who do the Suns have to slow down Luka & Kyrie? NO ONE!!!
I mean Luka, in a series, basically benched CP3 and Ayton because they had ZERO chance stopping Luka. Throw in Kyrie and now you can't even double-team Luka without getting burned with a certain bucket.
Need to change powell. Damn no defends also offence. Just does screens basically a wall in the court

This is BS. Limiting turnovers is easier than developing basketball skills. When given the greenlight Wood can facilitate, score and defend for the team. The Lakers game vs Mavs he was given the time to play and he showed he can.
Wood has better contribution than Powell when he is given starting minutes. Powell best game cannot even reach Wood average game 20/10. Powell on floor doesn't pressure opponents offense they don't respect him and just shoot over him.

Beverley/Barton (cut Ntilikina) would be the best combination. They both would fill a need. And with the bigs, we just have to hope that Maxi is at 100% come playoff time.

If it comes to Wood, I think his role will be back to the start of the season. The Wood/Maxi combination war really good off the bench. Maxi helps a lot to hide Woods problems and we now lack DFS, who could play the PF spot efficiently.. So 25 minute bench player.Will he finish games? I doubt that. But with Maxi next to him I think his role will get bigger again.
People keep talking about Powell is one of our primary bigs the rest of the season. It’s like people have completely forgotten Powell was UNPLAYABLE in the playoffs last year. No one ever brings that up. We come up against a team that plays drop against the PnR and we are playing 4 on 5 on offense when Powell is playing. Powell can’t be relied on for any more minutes than he played last playoffs which was 13mpg
