I don’t care how shitty his opinions can be, I’ll always love DJ for the entertainment he gave me during some very mediocre years. Dude balled out when the franchise seemed to be aimless.

Is he bipolar or what? He makes no sense whatsoever.

  3. Dude needs to stop twisting if he doesn’t want people to get it twisted. Stop talking shit about the Spurs and focus on the Hawks.

He’s easily goaded to playing up to the audience . I think 2 things can be true – he still has a lot of respect for Pop personally but also resents having to have to “suppress” his tendencies while playing for the Spurs

I’ll always love DJ honestly I couldn’t give a fuck less what he says about the Spurs. He’s got a chip on his shoulder, for better and for worse. Sometimes he thinks normal things are disrespect to him because of that chip – just the way it is. It makes him interpret shit as hostile acts when they’re not, but who cares. I’ll always love him, respect and appreciate the work he put into himself and growing his game while a Spur. He brought it night in and night out and became our first all star in a while.

I think that, given his in-person love he’s showing and the obvious smiles on KJ, Devin, Pops, and Gorgui’s face when they talk to him proves he was loved and is a great guy deep down. Just easily gets baited into his defensive side. Love you DJ.. “4L brotha 🤞🏼”

We are really still giving this dude attention? Lol

I love Murray, I just think he might struggle with a mild case of BPD. Poor guy.

It’s pretty clear in my eyes. Spurs wanted to keep him but not for the max. He wanted to stay with the Spurs but didn’t want to take less money. Same exact situation with Stephen Jackson or the Jakob to be honest.

Timmy, Tony, and Manu all took less money to stay with the Spurs.

That’s it, DJ is sour and is probably blaming some people in the organization for it. Remember the comment to Ime Udoka “you believed me in me unlike you know who” that is the time those conversations were taking place.

But I still think the Spurs did right by him, they found a good situation for him in Atlanta where he can earn that max contract. And Pop was always honest and upfront with him.

Ppl love to invent feuds. He’s a little immature but he’s young. He loved being here and loved pop but can have issues with how the team is run, that’s fine

He bet on himself as he should. We could only extend him for 20M and he wants 25M+. Maybe he won’t get it, maybe he will. We got 3 years of picks, it was a fine transaction and I’d be more than happy to bring him back later in his career if it worked out that way

We are a rebuilding team with little to look forward to but the draft and development so we are conflating the most minor of issues he has to make him some Kawhi villain. Just let him live and focus on our team. It sucks it had to happen during a season with two ten game losing streaks but it is what it is

I’m not surprised. You even see Kawhi and Pop talk to each other during the Clipper games. I’m sure both players might have felt wronged by the organization (which I don’t agree with but that’s not something I’m going to argue right now).

It just goes to show how much respect these players still have for Pop. Pop might be a hard-ass at times, but he genuinely cares for the players on his team, and players see that and have a lot of love and respect for him because of that.
