Off topic but does anyone think that either way if we finish in the bottom 3 the Spurs are locked into to number one pick already aka the 1984 draft how the Knicks landed the first pick aka Ewing aka big man aka Wembanyama and also if we don’t get the first pick does Wembanyama stay over seas and takes himself out of the draft until we land the first pick
I’m sorry but collins is not our guy. It feels like every time I look up he’s either fouling someone, getting scored on, or missing an assignment. I realize he just scored 30 or whatever but to win a championship he’s not the guy lol.
Spurs just waived Stanley Johnson, so even shorter at the small forward position.

With the scoring emergence of both malaki and sochan I’m getting more comfortable with the idea of trading keldon in the future even this off-season if it means possibly getting a lottery pick to get a pg if we get wemby or if it means adding him to a package to get the first for wemby, if any team would really want to trade out of it, I could see the a team that jumps up trading out of him tho.

In a season like this they are supposed to be losing. I just about lost it when they almost beat Detroit. That was a MUST LOSE game. So is Charlotte next week and the Rockets games left. This season I only want to win the lottery. That is it. What good would it be at this point to win 10 games and be the 8th pick. No thank you. Win lottery. Period!!

Guys we have five players on this team. Every one else can go F themselves for another team. Devin/Keldon/Malakai/Sochan/Wesley. Literally everyone else will not be here when we are good again (maybe as a backup playing 15 minutes, getting cheap money)
I feel like people don't watch the games. The Spurs are doing fine in the games up until the third quarter where Pop decides to put weird squads in to make sure we lose the game. We have to stop pretending we are so so bad, we had to take Keldon out just to give ourselves a chance to lose to Detroit and we almost won that game by mistake. Watch the games and you'll see this team is dangerously good when healthy, not title good. But promising young squad
The roster is confusing now no team chemistry any more
wesley is twitchy and quick he will be so good he’s dedicated on the defense end we’re gonna develop him into a demon mark this.
Let’s start a new dynasty
Now that Stanley is gone, I can see the minutes being given to Blake. He can be put under fire and just go for it and learn from his mistakes as the season goes to an end and build from that for the next season. Stanley's spot will for sure be given to Bassey.
As for our UFAs at the end of the season, I hope Romeo will be retained. Roby's skillset can be replaced by Barlow, maybe even more with his athleticism etc. And as for KBD, I can see him leaving the team or not resigned.
Come draft day, I wish Spurs again take somebody as a project player. I see Coulibaly, Iwuchukwu, Vukcevic, Grant Nelson, etc. They have drafted a lot of guards, maybe it's time to shore up the wings and frontline.
Just looking for overall TALENT and CHARACTER players who "fit in" with what Pop wants for our now and future(Pop likes players with toughness and "physicality"). Hope our on-going DEVELOPING yields a Spurs "diamond in the rough". I'm excited with our roster and possibilities! Go Spurs!
Keldon does have the ability to be a great defender. Just a couple examples would how he match up with LeBron and would run from the assignment. I believe it was his 1st game against lebron before the list some weight. He did a great Job and was not afraid to attack him on offense. That same year he was frustrating the hell out of Luka especially at the end when he forced Luka to take a bad forced shot. I this he's not going to hard on defense this season because he's use more energy in scoring and being he gets the assignment. POP will force him to have a " injury" if Keldon was getting the team ws for Ws 😂 The race the #1 pick is going to be exciting

I feel like the Spurs are tanking too hard… Like at this point, yeah, we have a lot of players who are looking good/promising, but how many of those are just decent players on a terrible team. And even then, every bottom team has players like that and we have reduced odds with the lottery system of getting a top 2 pick. Like we are questioning if we will win a game this season… Adding Vic or Scoot cant just propel us to victory, and we aren't a free agent destination. Idk… I feel like the Spurs are just so far away from competing in this league, I struggle to see the future where we win. Eventually people will demand Keldon or higher contracts (we got lucky he took a team friendly deal) and then we have to lose people we develop, which we do pretty often.
