And people in r/nba say LeBron is not clutch. People love to disrespect the GOAT.
niknokseyer
Woah. Top 3 clutch was Lakers.
Trjntpt
Russell Westbrook is no 3. Settle down.
Nice_Complaint_2602
this is a longevity stat lol. and you can literally subset any stats to show that any player is clutch. that’s why I think clutchness is more of a eye test measure than numbers

The GOAT is Kobe

Since 96-97🤔

Everyone’s version of clutch is different. For instance NBA defines last 5 minutes as clutch.
Clutch to Me is hitting that free throw, or that go ahead bucket buzzer beater down 1 with actual pressure rather than a tie game or time on clock to relax you.
foodstamps99
You go ahead and take lebron with the last shot on the line, I’ll take Kobe
The1AndOnlyJZ
Nahhh the Jazz logo next to Westbrook is crazy lol
PsychologicalSail186
How about clutch free throw percentage?
HughGRextion
damn these comments are gross lol
i appreciate that the top 2 are my two favorite players of all time and most importantly lakers 🔥🔥

Westbrook at #3 tells a lot about this stat

Umm, there’s more to this stat there not talking about. No way is Lebron more “clutch” than Kobe
Agitated_Mind_92
Take this shit to the Lebron sub

You can’t really utilize this graphic as an argument for the GOAT discussion. MJ already had three rings. Other candidates to consider would be Kobe, Magic, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, KAJ, and Wilt. All of which retired before these stats were ever recorded (except Kobe).
From my perspective, it’s more balanced to wait until LBJ retires and see what he produced over his career. I think that is one really strong negative for all media saying MJ is the GOAT over LBJ. One dude’s retired and the other dude’s STILL ballin’.

Goat needs to make the playoffs

It looks like they only started tracking this during the 96-97 season. I’m genuinely curious MJ stacks up if all his clutch shots were counted.
If my team absolutely needs a shot to get us the win, I will still go with Kobe. Kobe can be cold for 3 quarters but I will still be confident with him taking shots during the 4th quarter with the game on the line.
zhard01
Those symbols next to Durant and Westbrook are still wild
Plumbanddumb
Because he stayed longer????
_Gaius_Octavius
I’ll always take Kobe 🐍🏀

Is this clutch field goals made or taken? Does it include clutch free throws? I’d like to see everyone’s clutch percentages now lol
Disastrous_North_671
how does he have, on average, 50 clutch field goals a season? this doesn’t make sense
wtf is considered a clutch field goal lol

Utah Jazz legend, Russell Westbrook

Well that’s a bit disingenuous. He’s had an extremely long career with little sign of slowing down yet, and is the 1st option throughout his whole career. I would like to see the %’s surrounding this!
uuneter1
Ah, that explains ‘Brick always trying to be the hero. I guess he hasn’t accepted yet that he’s not that same player.
LudwigNasche
Funny fact is LBJ is also 1st in all time turnovers and Brick is 3rd again.
Unfortunately for Kobe he is only 5th on this discussion.

Longevity is part of greatness, but it’s not the biggest part. He’s gonna have many of the cumulative stats because he’s played at a high level for so long. But he’s never hit the peak MJ hit. Therefore, MJ >

Lebron isn’t the Goat I’m sorry. He had a chance but missed it

Of everyone in the NBA, open shot with the fate of the universe on the line or the martians have the death beam pointed at Earth and you better hit it, I want IGUODALA

I would agree with former Lakers great Pat Riley (who LeBron played for) when he said –
“If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save a game I’d choose Michael Jordan; If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life… I’d take Larry Bird.”

It’s not a good list if it features Russel Westbrook and the word “clutch”
