You are 100% correct. The Warriors attempted to turn Wiseman into a pick and roll/ lob threat. He is simply too talented for that and he knows that. If Detroit allows Wiseman to play his game, Piston fans will be in for a pleasant surprise. Especially with his jump shot.
The four-team trade that sent Wiseman to Detroit became official Sunday night, so he was unavailable for that day's game against the Raptors. The former second-overall pick will be available on Wednesday, and it remains to be seen where he'll fit into the rotation. It was reported in the aftermath of the trade that the Pistons expect to start Wiseman, which may concern fantasy managers who have Jalen Duren rostered. Wednesday's game will provide some indication of how Dwane Casey will utilize his young bigs after the All-Star break.
