Smart in his first game back – 9 points on 4-6 FG, 7 rebounds, 6assists, 6 steals… a total Marcus stat line.

  2. crackdup

Great win to go into the ASB, but I’m just happy to see Smart back..

  3. Brad-Stevens

Buckle up, the next 4 months are gonna be fun

The Celtics will go into the All-Star Break having won 7 of their last 9 despite a multitude of injuries over the last few weeks. I’ll gladly take that. Now to hopefully get healthy and create some separation in the standings with MIL. And as for tonight…

-Tatum with an almost casual looking 38/9/7, including 6/10 from deep

-Smart showing off exactly why he’s so valuable to this team. 9/7/6/ plus 6 steals. A great return game for him

-White finally cooled off a little bit, but still a really solid game with 11/4/6 with 2 steals and a block

-Brogdon with 25/3/6, and his first back-to-back 25+ point games as a Celtic

-Also a JD Davison sighting, including a nice end of shot clock bank shot. You love to see it

  5. tatumgoat

Mazzulla must be punishing Payton Pritchard for something he did/said lol

  6. FloweredWallpaper

Curious as to why Pritchard never saw the floor, even in the last few minutes.

First time in a long time a Boston team has made me cry.

I love this team. Very, very much.

  8. MyNamJedi

I wonder why Pritchard is sad? He didn’t get any minutes. In the dog house, maybe?

    Really odd after last night…

  9. It’s nice to get an easy win after last night. The Celtics played the Pistons, they played a game of basketball.

  10. bubsiboo

    Yo, I’m just saying…

JD IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP.

    Cs rule.

  11. Tatum makes it look so easy. Welcome back Smart!!

  12. adhbrown

It’s a bad look for Tatum, going after the 40 piece

  13. bubsiboo

7/9 and it feels like we could play a lot better LMAO.

  14. bipolarbearsRAWR

Sad PP should be the new Sad Keanu meme.

  15. MyNamJedi

My favorite themes going into the All-Star break:

    1. Blake Griffin returning to prime
    2. Derrick White upgraded to #3 in the GOAT debate
    3. Depth
    4. Depth
    5. More Depth
    6. Malcolm Brogdon.

  16. Meatballclub

Davison looks like he’d need more than 25 games to be playable in the playoffs. Wouldn’t worry for the Pritchard fans

  17. DieYuppieScum91

Probably going to have the full starting lineup plus Muscala back next Thursday. The Death Star is about to be fully operational.

  18. Meunier33

Obig; Fuck Tony Brothers, all my nubians hate Tony Brothers.

  19. joebos617

it’s getting old how whoever’s on play by play acts like it’s a marvel of modern medicine when Blake Griffin does anything positive

  20. BannerEighteen

Only negative thing is we let them get back in the game in the 3rd.

Besides that, great game. Definitely feel like the refs were a little heavy handed today. Brogdon, White and Kornet don’t usually complain but you could see they were a bit frustrated. Tatum has those quarters where he reminds people why he’s a candidate for MVP. Shame he won’t win this year but maybe FMVP will be a better consolation prize.

  21. Sphericalline13

Fun game. Only caught the second half but man that reffing felt really really skewed against us.

  22. Love Blake’s hustle and diving headfirst into the Pistons bench for the ball

  23. MissionSalamander5

34 minutes for Tatum is a much nicer figure.

Marcus did exactly what we need him to do tonight, and as his loudest detractor, I will admit to falling in love with him if he can play with this much restraint every single night.

6 shots. Did nothing but make plays. The best version of Marcus Smart is the Marcus Smart who doesn’t do a damn thing he isn’t good at. The difficulty he has had playing ONLY to his strengths throughout his career has been frustrating. But when he does it, fantastic.
