Colin Cowherd as a source is a joke and I’m not even sure what assets we have to make this possible, but AD would be an incredible addition (if he can stay healthy).

  2. Cambocant

Lebron is not happy with him probably because he has a poor work ethic and a bad attitude. Not to mention can’t stay on the floor for forty percent of the season. This is a hard pass for me.

  3. Active_Page_3886

Lakers would want multiple picks, and he’s just not worth it anymore. He’s about to turn 30 and can’t stay healthy for 4 weeks in a row.

If they wanted to just dump him for Hardaway, Bertans, and 1 protected pick.. that’s about all I’d offer for him anymore

  4. PeiMei00

So a sign and trade with Kyrie in the off season for AD.

  5. Jabberwock11

Predictive programming for a Kyrie sign & trade, thanks I hate it.

  6. HinduHamma

Cowherd exists just for clicks. This will easily rile up the LA fan base. Easy money for cowshit .

  7. They’re trying to set the stage for a Kyrie for AD sign and trade since LA can’t sign him outright now. Media is desperate for a Kyrie and Bron reunion. If Kyrie does end up demanding it then AD isn’t a terrible consolation prize

  8. DCJustSomeone

No thank you, I don’t want another max player who uses street clothes more than his uniform.

  9. kwesi777

AD ain’t got it anymore. y’all really don’t want any part of him. Signed, someone who has watched 80% of his games over the last 3 years.

  10. burnerforporn23

I just love how this sub constantly wants better players but can never imagine someone being better than what we have or future 24th overall picks could be. It’s hilarious.

So many crowing about how we desperately needed to keep and sign Wood because Ayton was just a toddler pretending to be a basketball player and now apparently AD is just some China Basketball league big. Hilarious.

Remember when people were begging for Schroeder back in August lmao

  11. qotsabama

There was a post on r/nba a few weeks ago that said AD visited Nola and talked to people/friends saying he was going to request a trade to Mavs in 2023. I call bullshit of course but this isn’t the first time I’ve seen these rumors.

  12. FinancialRabbit388

Cowherd knows nothing and is just stirring up some Kyrie for AD stuff.

  13. john_morten

If it doesn’t come from Marc Stein I don’t want to hear it.

  14. mouse2102

The Mavs just can’t help themselves. They love being on the Negative Asset Carousel no matter what. The Mavs aren’t going to get better playing this game and only going after broken stars.

  15. LogansGambit

I’d like to believe it’s true and there’s a chance we could have Luka, Kyrie and Davis. It’s a killer top 3 that many teams in the league couldn’t match…if they’re all playing. That’s the “minesweeper on expert” problem here.

  16. Jackfitz88

I asked this during the trade deadline and I got downvoted like hell and called and idiot 😂the written was on the wall on how Davis as looked the last week or two. No one is happy playing with LeBron.

Take the chance on AD, we have a great medical team, we saved Tyson chandler when he was considered and injury prone player when we got him. I have faith they can help AD and AD would be hungry enough to prove everyone wrong with Luka and kyrie. Lets go

Edit: this is we’re kyries connections should come into play. He’s more on the “in” with players then Luka and kyrie can recruit players of this caliber to play with them

  17. rickfortyone

Why are the Mavericks the team that is used as leverage every single time?

  18. x10FoilHatx

Maybe in 8 years when he’s playing for the vet min

  19. traw2222

AD=KP, dude can’t play 3 games without getting hurt

  20. lokohcrunch

availability >>>> star. its hard to always reason that we don’t have *injured player* and thats the reason we lose

  21. PM_ME_UR_RESPECT

Lmao, pretty sure we used up all of our organization’s trade luck for the next 20 years because of the Kyrie trade.

  22. unskilledplay

The Mavs would still have KP if he could have stayed healthy. Since there would be no dead weight contracts, stretching salary for Brunson would have been likely.

Eyeing AD makes no sense. He’s not working out for the Lakers for the exact same reason KP didn’t work out here.

Who is dumb enough to make this mistake twice?

  23. Fournier_Gang

So we want to become the All-NBA Diva squad now, huh?

  24. Why do Mavs always wants to get other teams surplus stars.

  25. behappysometimes

I’m here because I’m a fan of both the Mavs and the Lakers, but Cowherd is a literal moron for this one. Dallas doesn’t have anywhere near the assets, and AD looked pretty damn happy last night. He’s just frustrated and playing injured, it isn’t that deep. Hope Kyrie stays long-term so we can get some fun matchups between the two teams in the future.

  26. AtreusIsBack

But we already have injured players on the team.

  27. Phantomat0

If LeBron is angry with him, why the hell would we want him?

  28. I would rather call Kyrie’s bluff (going to a crappy team or taking a discount) and have him on a max for 3 years after this year than sign-and-trade him for AD’s expiring contract.

Edit: If AD were willing to extend for 2-3 years the moment he got traded to Dallas, then sure. If he were only willing to extend for 4-5 years, then no thanks.

  29. nutsygenius

Okay sure…but how? It’s impossible unless Kyrie is getting traded.

  30. Fluid_Storage_5628

I fucking hope not. I would hate to have A-DNP on our team.

  31. Realistic_Expert717

Um no way. AD is a constant injury risk. KD, Kawhi, Zion are falling into that injury risk every week. Way better ways to invest our resources. AD is a phenomenal talent but you can’t win a title with him in and out of the lineup

  32. ChuckMoody

A big 3 with Kyrie and AD and Luka would still have to carry the team alone for 50% of the time

  33. bloodydingbat

    Next year:

Kyrie out (back soreness), AD out (lower ankle sprain) every 2 games.

  34. Powpowpowowowow

I wanted to bring this up. We could do a S&T with the Lakers. AD looked pissed, still, about something. I am just saying, AD would be better than Kyrie, I don’t give a shit, but also, I won’t believe it until I see it. I also thought maybe AD and Chicago were in the works. With this in mind though too it doesn’t make sense for the Lakers anymore since they have Dlo and will very likely not let him walk.

  35. ggriff18

I’d be so pissed if they tried to do a sign and trade for Kyrie. Kyrie and Luka is what we need to build around.

  36. ShassaFrassa

Anything that comes out of Colin’s mouth should be taken with a whole jar of salt.

  37. EastDallasMatt

At this point, I’m getting the same vibes I got from Dwight Howard a few years ago when it didn’t look like he wanted to play anymore.

  38. hedokitali

The man is only good with divorce analogies. Move along.

  39. Putrid_Ad_2256

If the Lakers stopped play for every bucket that Lebron makes, (I mean every bucket is one for the record books, right?) then maybe AD can catch his breath and stay on the court longer, right?
