Wish him good luck. He will get some playing time. But they can play zone very well I remember from the last game we played. So that will hide some of Kevin Love’s flaws on defense.

Even when his shooting stabilized he won’t be playable down the stretch. Just glad it appears to have been an amicable split

He’s a really bad defender at this point. I think they will play him 12-15 mpg for a week or two but if his three point shooting doesn’t return to what it was pre thumb injury, he’s gonna get DNPs there too.

Regardless he will get hunted and played off the court in the postseason. Wish nothing but the best for him. Hope he catches fire from three again so he can play a bit longer.

  4. Makes no difference at all. He has no chance to be a positive impact in the playoffs. At best he will catch fire and hit a couple 3s, but he will play absolutely no defense in return 🤷‍♂️

Complete bungling by the organization. They knew what was going to happen when he was removed from the rotation, I mean come on, hes always been emotionally thin skinned. Now instead of trading him out of the conference you may see him in the playoffs. Yeah we know hes been bad but we also know he can turn it on and all we can do is hope he keeps being bad if we face them come playoffs.

I’m surprised by the excitement in the Heat subreddit, they think this is some major acquisition.

What are the odds we see them in the first round?

Hopefully we match up in the playoff against Miami.

March 10th, Cavs host the heat

Edit: google lied, March 8th and March 10th are both against the heat in Miami

Soft stuff from love joining the enemy

I, too, would choose to move south if I could during the middle of an NEO winter

I hope he does well there and gets what he wants (as long as it doesn’t come at the Cavs expense lollll)

Makes me sad! KLove last remaining piece of our championship team! Wish him nothing but the best wherever he ends up! ♥️💛🏀

gonna feel weird knocking him out in the first round

Lakers fans are already saying that Lebron, Kyrie and Love will reunite in the off-season. Basically the same thing they predicted like 10 years ago, right before they all ended up in Cleveland together. Have to feel for them though, after their Cowboys and Yankees both choked. Guess they’ve had a rough year.

Lotta old dudes that don’t shoot the greatest on the team

I’m happy for Kevin – I like watching him play, and he wasn’t going to get a chance here.

Best situation for KLove for his career. Miami desperately needs a stretch 4 that can shoot & they have the coaches to disguise his nonexistent defense.

I hate this. I don’t know if it’s the weather or the Heat’s medical staff, but old guys play better in Miami. If we’re matched up against them in the first round this will come back to bite us.

Don’t care. Cavs dumped him. If they didn’t want him going to the Heat or some other Eastern Conference playoff team, they should have kept him and found a role for him. If he’s healthy and can contribute to some other team, great, I hope he succeeds and shows the Cavs they made a mistake marginalizing him. If he’s not and can’t, great, then he won’t tip the scales on any potential playoff run. And if he does tip the scales, then I’ll feel some modicum of Schadenfreude.

The Ohio to Florida pipeline takes another one

  21. FatDeepness

So Love was not really playing well at all but why did we have to buy him out at this point in the season?

  22. HaveLoki

Sure am glad this happened so we can have a washed up 35 year old take some of Levert’s minutes! So glad we only go for “good people” instead of good players!!! /s

Who is our 3rd big with Dean Wade being more of a 3?

  23. AutoMail_0

If you told me in 2013 that we would not only get Kevin Love, but he would leave us for Miami I would have been much more upset than I am now

  24. OozyPancake69

K Love is washed. That said, hope he enjoys Miami. They have a great system and the weather is awesome.
