It’s not mystifying at all why Laimbeer hasn’t been approached to coach in the NBA. Nobody wants to hire him. Even Dumars, his old teammate wouldn’t hire him to coach the NBA squad. He had opportunities to do so. Isaiah was an exec for the Knicks and he didn’t hire him. Look at the other former players that are running organizations now or in the recent past….who even wants him around? Bird? McHale? Ainge? Jordan? Pat Riley? Jeannie Buss?
This isn't an outlier. Ask any Bad Boy about another Bad Boy. Ask another Goin to Work Piston about another Goin to Work Piston. They all did and still love each other unconditional. The two best NBA TEAMS of all time.
