I want to keep him for his rebounding and big man scoring. I feel like he’s underrated
He needs to play with the second unit so he can be used properly. he won't get more shots then Zion,Brandon, CJ, plus, his defense is not so good putting him up against other teams backup big men would give him a better chance to get the ball and showcase what he can do plus, him playing with Josh on that second team would be ideal because Josh is always looking for him and you can see they have great chemistry already 💯
Congrats on being featured on All Access brother! As far as JV… amount of help he has provided for us to win with injured roster is amazing. In my opinion if you followed pels ups and downs last year into this year you have to appreciate this man! Sometimes you need a big body to be deep enough. Great work!
He is a solid player. He needs to shoot more and even take a few more 3s.
He needs to learn how to execute on the ball screens, and so does CJ.
I’d trade him for a defensive anchor / rim protector. Realistically someone like Mitch Rob if possible. We need a guy with a different skill set, the only players we should really ‘adjust’ to are Z and BI.
This is the problem with pels! We can’t accept and love the team. We are sooooo trade happy for any team in NBA. We have looser mentality. Jake you’re back to being an idiot!

It seems like the pelicans are unable to pass / get the ball to JV down low. Most times they give him the ball at the 3pt line or close to it. Idk why they don’t actively give him the ball low he would be automatic.
I do not think the Pelicans should trade him. He is a very skilled center. Plus, he speaks English with a Louisiana accent.
Nooooo jake… Jonas is a cancer on the defensive end. Its not even about his speed or athleticism. He simply just has really bad defensive instincts and awareness, like seriously he looks so clueless at times.
Does JV have any trade clauses? I thought he signed a new contract when the Pels got him in the trade because he wanted to be here long term? As long as no verbal agreements were made, I could live with a trade and it wouldn't kill me. HOWEVER, I think he has played better with Zion that Steven Adams did. Why that is I'm not sure. But I want to see how he BI, CJ and Z play together if that ever happens. The may mesh. They may be able to get by with a lesser center. But not Plumlee. Adams couldn't hit a free throw, Mason is not much better. He's more athletic than JV, and he does rebound. But shipping off JV to Charlotte? He might prefer the G League.
Edit: I don't want another JJ Reddick situation where the team promised a player something and went back on their word. That's all I'm saying.
Last year they had some games where they played thru JV… Maybe they should do that until Zion comes back and that should create open shots
We need a facilitating PG. Once the ball touches Bi and CJ hands it sticks.
I love JV, but I'm not sure he fits this team going forward. That said, they seem to be ignoring him in games where the opponent just can't match up with him.

Per 36 mins Willy 21 pts 14 rebs 1.2 blks. Jonas per 36, 21pts 14 tebs 0.7 blks. My point is Willy is way cheaper n can produce about the same offensively in this system as Jonas and is probably a better fit for what they want from a center (screen and attack the off glass). Defensively they're both terrible so it made and makes sense to trade Jonas and become more athletic. While most were so stuck on OG, Bojan etc I thought somehow packaging for more athletic big was more important: Achiuwa, Wiseman, Turner earlier this year etc
When you really think about it, 2 points is 2 points at the end of the day. I have no problem dumping the ball down to JV instead of a BI contested middy. But this coaching staff doesn’t push for the ball to be given to JV.

To answer your question before the video, No. We have talented players like Hayes and Lewis that barely see playing time. And players like Zion and Ingram that seems to get injured easily
V is fine at 30m is the max we just have to wait on Zion than he ll play more
