“I don’t know what’s going on” = “They clearly have one of the worst coaches in the league but I can’t say that lol”

Brother we’re sick of this team too

I don’t like the idea that it’s more on Trae than Nate McMillan but totally agree, just a frustrating team in every way

Show us the lie.

I’m so used to media giving us an unfair shake, but this is kinda worse cause outside of not mentioning Nate it’s spot on.

I feel the same way he does

“Trae has cool stats that don’t impact the game”

Damn accurate 🙁 things will turn back around. I miss how fun Trae can be to watch though.

Saw a post on /r/NBA a few days ago pointing out the wild fact that twenty-one out of thirty NBA teams had a positive net rating, and only nine had a negative net rating. I didn’t even need to look to confirm that the Hawks were one of the nine negative ones, but I did anyway because I’m a masochist.
Honestly, at this point all I’m hoping for out of this year is that the guys can just relax and have some fun these last few games and that nobody gets injured.

> They keep sputtering in their attempts.
> They start and finish games poorly.
> They’re on the wrong side of coin flips when it comes to clutch situations.
> I just wish they played to their capabilities a lot more because there is so much talent there.
I can take all 4 of these points, and direct them SQUARELY on coaching….If anyone disagrees, please have the discussion with me, but nearly everything above starts at the top. Players not motivated? Then MAKE THEM be motivated. Can’t start or finish games properly? Who designed the game plan or can manage game situations? THE COACH. Not clutch? Who’s designing plays??
If national writers can see the talent, and the fans can see the talent, why isn’t it being exploited?
What a fucking waste of a season because we have a coach that apparently doesn’t do shit, and an ownership group who said “Please stay because the optics of you leaving looks bad!!”.
We’re so fucked.
**EDIT:** Look at the Nets (before the trade). They fired Nash, and brought in Jacque Vaughn. The culture change (outside of Kyrie) was night and day. They went on that crazy win streak of like 9 or 10 games immediately. One thing they suffered with was rebounding. Vaughn showed them where they ranked in the NBA and nearly all of them were at the bottom of the stat sheet in boxing out and rebounding. Guess what happened immediately? These guys started rebounding and putting effort in because they didn’t want to be the worst in the NBA. Why can’t we have a coach who motivates like this???

The takeaway is the same for 95% of Hawks fans too

Yeah that’s all 100% accurate. How is the national media gonna say all this and then get mad when players/fans alike say Nate has to go, though?
